How Do You Know How Many Points

I'm really new to this section and I've just started thinking about renting points. I have a family of 5 and just want to compare my options about rooms.

How do I know how many points are needed for the various resorts?

there's a link to the different pt charts in the top right hand corner of your screen.

each resorts point charts also shows the occupancy limits for the different villas - the BLT and AKV 1BRs have a pullout sleeper chair to accomodate 5 in the room (although a 2BR has much more space if you can swing it.)

also, make sure you are looking at the right year. 2010 and 2011 are slightly different.

If you look at the top of the screen, under the bird, it says DVC POINT CHARTS. Click on that.

Keep in mind that the number of points needed for your vacation is based on 3 things:
- the dates you will be travelling
- the size of the villa you want (1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, etc.).
- the resort

A two-bedroom at the Boardwalk at Easter will require more points than a studio at Old Key West in January.

Also, there are maximum occupancies for the different villas. I think that appears at the top of each point chart.

OK, I have another question or two.

1. I'm looking at the 2011 chart at the June 11-30 line. There's nothing there, how do I figure that out.

2. The # on the Sun-Thurs line shows 26 (example), that means 26 pts per night during those nights?

At the AKV from Jun 11-30 the Sun-Thurs rate is 26 ppoints per night. If you were to stay on a Fri or Sat night then it would be 29 points per night. The entire week (7 nights no matter which night you start on) would be 188. If you add up the daily points for each night for 7 nights they should match the weekly point total.
The room at 26 points a night is also the one bedroom (value) accomidations which is at the Jambo house and not Kidani Village.
