How do you indicate book titles in reports

Here is an example of citing a book:

Tan, Amy. The Bonesetter's Daughter. New York: Putnam, 2001.

Titles of full-length books are in italics. Titles of articles and short stories are in quotes. Underlining used to be a substitution for italics, but not any more since basically everyone has access to a word processor. However, if you're writing it out by hand, underlining is still the accepted method.
