I feel so ashamed! I don't remember the name of it, but I have a question about the swings inside the giant orange. In my defense, I've never ridden it.

My DD seemed interested on going on it last trip, but I steered her away. I've had a major heights issue since I got preganant:confused3 I just imagine her freakin' out and trying to get out while the ride is in motion :scared1: It concerns me that we wouldn't be close enough for me to hold on to her.

How do handle your growing kids as they start going on big rides? I'm terrified that soon she'll be big enough for Screamin' (horrid images of her slipping out of the harness). Will she be ok on the Orange thing?

Funny since I love 'coasters, etc.

I went on it for the 1st time along with DS last month ~ I didn't mind it at all, I didn't find it exciting or scary. DS rode it several times. It has a higher height limit ~ 48 inches I think so you've got some time b4 DD will be tall enough I assume.

I have a DD10 and she's so excited to go on Screamin'. Don't know if I'm up to going on it or not, so I'll just close my eyes when she goes with her dad.

:) Glad I'm not crazy. Good luck Moonbeams4!

FYI, it's called the Orange Stinger, and it's one of my favorite rides in DCA. The bad news . . . it's slated to be removed during the big rennovation so ride it while you can!

That's too bad. I think it looks so cool!!! I love it all lit up at night. I have a picture of DD down by the Sun Wheel with the "Orange Stinger" (thanks!) in the background.
