How Do You Handle Your "Withdrawal"?

I book my next trip, spend quality time on these boards, and reset my countdown timer.

My fiancee and I are currently suffering from WDW withdrawl after 3 straight years of 2+ trips, we will NOT(well, probably not) be taking one this year due to our wedding expenses and purchase of a home. It seems that Disney feels our pain as they have just sent us discounted room rate postcards. ARRRRRRRR! Great rates, but we just can't afford to go!!!!!

Here are some of our favorite WDW Withdrawl ideas.

1) Download and Listen to WDW songs and sound bites! "How do you do" and "A pirate's Life for Me" are my favorites.

2) See Disney on Broadway. We love The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast on Broadway.

3) Visit our local Disney Store and purchase a Snowglobe. We have quite a collection. OR buy something from the Disney Catalog.

4) Watch our Past WDW videos and have a WDW photo as Wallpaper and Screen Saver on my PC at work

5) Disney-themed wedding. Since we couldnt get married in WDW(too many family members). We have decided to have a Disney-themed wedding. Our invitations, napkins, placecards, cocktail-hour music, ice sculptures, and cake topper will all have a Disney theme. Even the cake will be disigned to have HIDDEN MICKEYS.

I am currently going through MAJOR Disney withdrawl. It will be a year in May since I've been there I have to say visiting these boards help a lot. I like to read up about disney and disney related things. I also LOVE listening to my Disney cds, watching videos, looking at old photos from trips, reading disney souvenier books, and talking disney!!! Nothing really does the job though like planning an actual trip. I'm really considering visiting for Christmas this year! THe minute it's final.....I'll be PYSCHED!

I have Disney park maps and figurines in my home and work office. One floor of my house is covered in collectible Disney pictures. The Dis boards help a lot also. Great way to bring Disney with you all the time!

where do you download the disney songs and sounds? My husband said he would disney-fy our computer for me , but I couldn't figure out where to get the sounds.

We plan the next trip. We spend time looking through photos and home movies. And lastly we spend a lot of time on the DIS.

Usually when we come home I'm kinda sad for a month or two---don't really want to talk about Disney. Then I start planning our next trip! This time (December) I was especially sad because we weren't planning on going back until May '04 But........one of my friends (another total Disney Freak!) and I were talking about how her sister (now 29) hadn't been to WDW since she was 12, and how she wanted to visit again. We decided we must plan a trip for Catherine! Sooo now the 4 of us (my 4 yo ds, too) are going for a week in September! Plus I still get to go in May '04 for ds's 5th bday!

I usually just try and make more scrap books with things I got from my last trip. I always try to save as many things possible. Receipts, napkins, coasters, shopping bags, etc. Then I'll get home and put them into my scrap book. I'll also listen to as much Disney music or audio as I can. We watch several YouTube channels that keep us in the loop. Plus, we don’t do the big 7-day extravaganza type trips. We goto Orlando several times a year and get a dose of various parks, and always do Disney Springs and maybe CityWalk.

It is still sad to leave, but comforting to know we are coming back soon.

We live just a few hours away, so we drive. That being said, Frontier and Spirit always have great sales...
