How do you handle EMH late nights

Last time we went to WDW in 2002, they only had E nights at MK and it was only until about 1:00 am.

We're going in July and I'm giving myself a headache :confused3 trying to figure out our touring plan. It's DH and I, both 42 and our 2 DDs, 20 and 15, so it's not like I have little ones...and the girls will want to stay out late.

Do y'all try to do as many late nights as possible, or do you try to pace yourself. I know I need to get to the parks as early as possible to get fastpasses for the popular rides, so that's throwing me off.

Help!!!!

We like the e late nights, actually prefer them to mornings. Mornings ar great if you're there at the crack of early, but more people just keep coming and it loses its charm rather quickly. Evenings on the other hand, the crowd continues to thin until you feel like you have the parks to yourself. We generally have saved all the rides that are open during evening EMHs for the EMHs and have been able to hit most of them. Also, I think most people work back to front, we've had success in the evening EMHs going front of the park to the back. HTH!

We tend to be late-nighters and do all of the evening EMHs while we're there. However, we are rarely at a park at opening, so we don't end up getting fried out.

I'd say with DD's that age, I would let them stay out as long as they like. You and your significant other can then spend some special time together doing whatever you want to do. JMO

We loved the late nights! Especially at MK, the crowds started leaving en masse right after Spectromagic, and then the second wave started leaving after Wishes, yet we could just stay there and do the stuff we wanted. It was wonderful! When we did leave, there was hardly anyone else on the bus back to our resort. I highly recommend this.

That being said, though, my DH really wanted to ride Expedition Everest. Instead of doing that on the Extra Magic morning hours, we went when it was opening for everyone and he had no problem riding it, getting a fast pass, and riding it again. If you're there when the gates open, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to ride something that you know will have long lines later. So, try to see when EMH night hours are and then figure out what park you want to do the next day. For example, we had no problems doing anything at MGM even though we didn't get there till about 11 am because we'd done night hours the day before. Check out the schedules and make your plans and I think you'll be able to do everything you want and also enjoy the night hours. Have fun!

Thanks for the responses. I'm thinking we'll do as many late nights as possible and not kill ourselves to get up early each day. That'll be a nice change from when the girls were little and we were up at the crack of dawn. :sunny:

I'm making myself crazy trying to figure out which parks we'll be in on each day and what times we'll be there so I can make some ADR's.

I'm usually anal about planning things out, so this last minute "winging it" thing is new for me.

I was actually shocked when we left the Mk 2 weeks ago at 1am and had the parks to ourselves. Everyone has said that Mk EMH's were a nightmare but we had a great time. We came in right before Wishes started and we got some icecream and watched Wishes right from Mainstreet. Then we headed to Tommorowland and got bracelets and basically walked on everything. We were the only ones on the tram back. It was funny because my df was like "hurry we need to leave before everyone does!!" I looked around and no one was around. We stopped for a dole whip instead lol.
