It feels like i've been saving up forever, but i suck at saving, so i only have about $400 now. :confused3
I really want to have a huge shopping spree on the trip, since there's better shopping in Florida than here.
But other than allowance and babysitting, I don't see myself getting much more than $500.
So, how do you guys get your spending money before a trip?

I work 35 hours a week. That's how I get my money. But since you can only babysit, I think $400 dollars is plenty for souveneirs.

Since I work, I plan on having about $1,000 in my bank account before I leave for Disney. I'll probably have more, but that's the amount that I'm counting on. I also plan on spending every single cent of it. :)

welll.. i babysit. thats about it.
but over the summer a lot of my friends and i volunteer a lot at a daycare, nursing home, and pet rescue.
and my parents put money into my bank account each hour i volunteer. so thats good.
i also give my mom my debit card like 2 weeks before trips, so i wont be tempted to buy stuff.

Right now I work, but I'm not saving for spending money for any trips.
Soon I will be saving to go on the Eurotrip in a year or two.
But as far as Disney vacations go, my parents usually pay for everything I want because they say 'We're on vacation, there's no point in not buying something and regretting it later'.
That kind of makes me feel spoiled to say that I never used my own money on vacation, but it's the only time where my parents are that lenient.

$400? Holy crap! I'm lukcy to have $100 to spend. I'd say $400 is definately enough!

My parents are they same, that's where I get my spending money from, but I'm trying to get a job at the minute, I've applied for 9 but haven't had 1 response yet :( I'm sure I'll get one soon though, and that's where my spending money will come from :)

I don't know when I'm going next, but I've heard there's a moose bookbag in the Canadian pavillion...
I want that.
xD

Mmm. I'm in the same spot kinda. I'm saving for my trip to france in 8 DAYS!!! and then I'll have about a month to save for WDW again. I've got about $150, maybe $180 before France which is good for about $60 Euros with the given exchange rate.

My mom and dad buy me alll my souvenirs and such when we're on vacation for the exact same reason. I feel really spoilt, too. Especially when my mom drops $100 on me at Sephora a month prior.

I've tried getting a job this summer, but nobody will hire me because I'll be out of town for 3/4 of it. I'm hitting France for 9 days in July, then Track camp at UNH for 4 days, then WDW for a week in August. I'm not going to be here enough to work enough hours to make it worth hiring me.

my parents don't really buy me anything on trips, the spending money is left up to me.
you're lucky :)

i'm going to europe next year,
what countries are you going to?

I just take some money out of the bank before we go. It's usually money I got for christmas & birthdays, also some allowance money too. Than my parents give me 100.00 to spend.

hmmm. i babysit, my allowence is 10$ a week, and i save bday/hi=oliday money up. anyhoo for disney me and my dad have a disney fund, and it usually has 100$ or so in it and we split it.

Well I babysit when I can, I make about $200 a year off of that and now I'm on the church mops list so I may get more calls so more $$$$$. I dont get a allounces but my parent normally pay for all my souvineers. I also get report card money for good grades. Also here in a few weeks my brother is going to a Cross Country training camp so he needs someone to work his shift and if his friend cant work it I will and he makes about $12 a hour and his boss said she would pay me $2 less and think I may take it. But mostly just from odd jobs.

Well... usually I beg my dad for some money... make teary eyes... the whole deal.

Just kidding! Actually my parents and I have a deal. Anything essential they will pay for, and anything extra comes from my bank account. As for Disneyland, it's almost always my own money unless we're there for my birthday or Christmas. I don't spend a lot on souvenirs anyway since we live here, and I'm older now so a lot of stuff isn't interesting anymore.

My parents buy everything that i want when we go away.

my parents give me some money when i do chores
i have about $50 right now but my next trip is in 2009

If I got it'll be in Summer '10 or Summer '11 (possibly actually in March).
If I go in 2011, I believe it's Paris, Florence, Rome, Athens and a cruise through the Greek Islands.

Money? I don't see any money.
My mom says 2 maxium souvenirs. Around 30$.
However, last year my dad spent 100+ on my sister last year in the hotel arcade ALONE! He thought he was going to get away without anyone knowing. (We have a policy in our family, each child gets equal spending money + whatever they save)
Well, he was mad he had to pay me 100$ back.

For DLR, my parents are going to have some money. And my school did a fundraiser for me so I could go on my MAW trip and pay hospital bills, so I have a nice chunk of change to spend there. IDK how much, but I know there is some good money in there.

hah! You guys are sooooo lucky! I was planning on going to Australia next year, but then i went to sea world for 10 days so im negative to my dad 800 bucks haha. So no australia next year, but im going back to sea world lol. I spend so much just getting ready for a trip. Thank goodness i have a job! :)
