How do you guys feel about Deck 1? Anyone stayed there before and hated/liked it?

Just curious... I liked deck 2 it has bigger porthole. If deck 2 is full, would you upgrade to cat 8 to get deck 5, 6, 7?

Has anyone stayed in stateroom 1048? or 7000? or any room in deck 5? Was was it? Thanks!!

BTW... any sites I should visit where it will give me a good rate for Feb 13, 2005- Wonder? Thanks a bunch!! :) And is Feb a good time to cruise or June or July? Thanks! I can't wait to sail again!! :boat:

Thanks Karen, but I am a Michigander, would love to be a Floridian though!

We’ve stayed on Deck 1 before and I think the location is great, very little hall traffic, and very quite. I like the large portholes in the staterooms on Deck 2 also, but I’m not sure if the small portholes in the outside cabins of Deck 1 would be worth it or not. We had an inside stateroom (1047) and wouldn’t hesitate in booking that room again.

We stayed in 1048 in March and would not hesitate to book it again.

We actually liked the two portholes - one for each kid!

Our room attendant, Lidia, really made the cruise special for us. She was a doll and was teriffic with our kids.

We liked that there was little hall traffic, and the fact that when we arrived back on board after being in port, we were a stone's throw away from our room.

We also saw a lot of staff down there at the mid ship elevators. There was some sort of crew entrance there. We enjoyed interacting with everyone. We even saw a fire drill one day. All the firemen had to kneel down and stop what they were doing when we walked past.

The only complaint I had was the morning we docked in St. Maarten, there was a horrible banging noise against the side of the ship. But I suspect all decks could have heard it too.

I loved deck 1! I would take it again in a heartbeat!! I loved when we were at a port, getting on and off the ship was so easy. getting an elevator was also a plus. They are usually full by the time it gets to the other floors. It was always quite and smooth sailing!
