How do you 'group' your pins?

We are pretty new to pin trading and we only have around 150 but we are going to WDW in May and hope to get lots more.

My daughter is only 3 and she loves it but we are getting confused on how to group her pins.

YOu see her name is Daisy so she collects Daisy Ducks but being the princess she is she also wants to collect princess pins, ALSO she wants to collect beauty and the beast as she is beauty and the beast mad.

We store the pins on lanyards at the moment but we have come across a problem when trying to decide to keep Belle pins within a set on the princess lanyard or should we out her with the rest of the beauty pins on the Beauty and the Beast lanyard. You get my drift right!! As amny Belle pins are parts of princess sets we are at a loss of what to do. So were just wondering how do you group yours? And what happens if one pin meet the criteria of 2 groups?

We put ours on cork boards to display in the house. The girls all have multiple sets hanging on their walls. We all collect multiple characters, what we do is group them by group or by character. IE I have a corkboard full of Tink, they are all Tink with the except of 1 that has Peter Pan holding a Tink puppet, altho I may have moved that one because it's not just Tink. We have the Hidden Mickey sets from particular years on corkboards, all 12 sets on 1 board. so let's say you're collecting the Princess Teacups (because they are adorable pins) and there is a Belle in the collection of teacups, what we do is collect the teacup set first, then we get the Belle pin for whomever collects that character (DD15). I usually group my Disney pins by either character or sets of pins I have bought. I collect Winnie-the-Pooh pins so I have them all together in a pin book. Or, if I have bought a set of say bobble head princesses, I put the set together so they are in nice little groups. I keep all my pins I like to keep in my pin book. I put all of the pins I want to trade in my pin traveling pouch. That way, I only have to bring my carrier pouch of pins with me to the parks. If I lost them I wouldn't lose any super important pins to me. I either bring the pins I want to keep with me or I leave them at home. At the end of the day, I put all the pins I have acquired from trading into my pin book from my pin pouch. I also like to put my most valuable pins for trade in the front of my trading pouch. I also put all of my favorite pins that I want to keep in the front of my pin book. If you want to store your pins in a special way, you can also store all your pins on lanyards. You could buy a princess lanyard to put all your princess pins on. Once you have lots of lanyards you can put them somewhere special or on hooks. Also, when at the parks you could also put the pins you would like to trade on your lanyard(s) so other people can see what you have to trade. However, be aware that if you are wearing some of the pins you want to keep on your lanyard around the parks, some people might think you want to trade them with others. Tell anyone who asks if you want to trade any of those pins of your lanyard that you like to keep no thanks. There are lots of ways to organize you pins, and maybe you will like my suggestion on how to organize them!
