How do you get the dining plan for free?

We're headed to DW 11/20-26 and staying @ the FWLV. Was there a promo I missed?

We booked our villa thru the DW call center. Should I have asked about dining plan options or promos? Should I call before we leave?

Thanks for any info....I'm obviously new to this!

they offer the dining plan for free ocasionaly during late august, thru sept. because it is normally slower and they want to increase the number of guests. its a GREAT deal. although at that time of year, you pay for it with the heat and humidity if your not used to that type of weather. have fun and report back how your trip was !

The last couple of years, I have taken advantage of the free dining offer during my trips in late August. The deal was offered in the spring for my trips in the summer.

how did you get a room discount & free dining ...usually you only get one discount?

Just a question when you get the offer for free dining and you decide to upgrade to deluxe dining do you pay full price for the deluxe or do you pay just the difference between the two packages? A little confused and just was wondering!

The only way youre getting free dining this year is have a Disney Visa or if disney sent you a pincode. If you want to upgrade to deluxe you just pay the differance

With the Disney Visa promotion, some of the packages also included a discount on your room. When I called, I think we got lucky.

We got PORFQ standard room, one day tickets for each of us (3 "adult", one "child") and dining for 5 nights for $1100 total including taxes.

The rack rate on the room including a one day ticket was $1344 and change. So they were giving a bit off the room, plus dining for free.

I have never tried a moderate resort or the dining plan before, but got a great airfare and didn't want to spend a fortune!

I think you can apply for the Visa and get approved quickly, I don't know. It definitely was worth it for us! I don't know if it would be worth it for me to pay adult prices for my 11 year old, but since we got the dining plan for "free" now, he can order some nice entrees!

We're DVC members and are booked for 12/14 - 12/22. We also have a Disney Visa. Do you know if you can book just the free dinner. Also, is it limited to one family member or the whole family.

No you can not get free dining if you booked with points, you have to book the whole pkg. room, txt & dining to get the free dining plan & yes it would be for the whole family. You can add dining to your DVC reservation but it wouldn't be free & you have to purchase it for everyone on the reservation for every night booked.
