For shame!
Wow, that's a great idea to get a small version of your cake during future visits. I think I want to take the top home though. I guess we are only a 3 hour plane ride, so maybe it would hold up ok.
and I haven't worn make up since the last wedding I attended in 1999 for my best friend! But I do want to be princess-y for my big day. I really like how your hair and make up is so natural looking in your pictures.

Thanks! I'll check out her website. How early in advance did you need to book her? and did you come with a hairstyle and make up style that you had in mind or did she suggest? I have no clue about hair and make up-I'm a little hippie girland I haven't worn make up since the last wedding I attended in 1999 for my best friend! But I do want to be princess-y for my big day. We are definately going to have leftover cake. Do you think we can provide the Floridian with tupperware for the leftovers?
What kind of weddings did you have, wishes or escape?? If you're having a small escape wedding, how big is the cake? I just assumed it was a small one.
What about stuff like sand ceremonies etc?Does someone in the wedding party or a guest have to take it with them when we all leave the ceremony site?If we're at Sea Breeze Pointe and having a room at the BWV we can always get someone to nip it up to our room, or is there another way?
I'm thinking that since we're staying way longer than our guests that maybe I could have it packed and shipped overnight to one of them to store for us until we get home. I definitely want the cake for our 1 year anniversary if I can manage it.
So, no one ever managed to get the top tier home?I'm thinking that since we're staying way longer than our guests that maybe I could have it packed and shipped overnight to one of them to store for us until we get home. I definitely want the cake for our 1 year anniversary if I can manage it.

Not the fault of the hotel, really just our fault because we were too busy/lazy to go get it, and the mini fridge in our room was holding the anniversary layer!
Six months later we were enjoying it on our anniversary! Anyway I hope this shows that you can pretty much do anything with it and it will be okay. BTW we did not get food poisoning and we continued to eat the cake for about a week after our anniversary.
