How do you get PINs?

I keep reading about people that get a discount with a PIN -- how do you get them? I've never gotten one.

DIsney sends them out by mail. DW recently requested the latest planning DVD from them and we later received a pin for 20% off resort prices in Nov. We don't need it however because we are DVC owners. I have heard of people calling Disney and asking if there was a Pin code attached to your name? Dont know if that works or not?

I called 407 W Disney and asked if I had a pin attached to my name. I did end up having one this time, but other times I have not.

There's really no rhyme or reason as to who gets pins and who doesn't as it's all just luck of the draw. You can get them by mail, email, or have one attached to your name. As the pp said, some people get them after ordering the planning DVD, saving vacation quotes online, and making sure they are registered with Disney. Other than that, there's really nothing you can do to ensure you get one as they are randomly given out.

I got a pin last week for a 30% off for August, but we are going in September. I also got one last January for 30% off, but it was for spring.

I don't know why or how, but I've had several, but prefer to get free dining.

I got a PIN recently after I had booked my upcoming trip. I searched my mail & just discovered that I was sent a PIN last December for 35% off a room! I went to WDW for the first time last May. I sign up for everything I can with them & also sign up for the free planning DVDs. It's all random though. I do go online & price out vacations a lot as well.

i recently logged into wdw.com and started playing around with prices/rooms. literally the next day i had an email with some links to the resort i had been looking at - and ta-da - a pincode for 30% off!

unfortunately we will not be able to use it after all as we have decided to stay off-site...
