How do you get MS to make your ADR's?

I have always just called and booked my own ADR's, but I was thinking of having MS do it for me this time. Do I have to call MS or can I e-mail them? If I can send them a detailed e-mail it would be worth it--I dont' have access to a phone during the day at work. If I have to call, it would be just the same as calling for them myself so why not just call directly?

It might depend on when you're going. We don't usually do ADR except for the really busy times (like New Year's Eve). Those times you have to give a CC number. I wouldn't want to put a CC number in an e-mail.

I don't think the CC is required during slower times and in that case you could probably do it by e-mail.

Maybe someone here has already done it and can confirm.

Otherwise you can call the WDW-DINE number directly as I think they have much longer hours than MS. Of course calling direct is not a toll free number if that's an issue.

If you find out anything post back and let everyone know.

Yes, you can email. They can make ADRs for most dining - but, I wouldn't depend on them for the hard-to-get things like CRT, since MS doesn't open early enough in the AM to get those.

I'd include the restaurant, date and approximate time you want as well as the number of adults/children in your party, whether or not you will have a dining plan and the resort where you will be staying for your trip in the email. You might also include your home phone number. These are all things they would ask if you called either Disney Dining or MS.

If you aren't going for a few months, email should work fine and you'll get an email confirmation that can be printed to take with you. If you're going in the next few weeks, calling Dining may be the better plan just due to the time involved.

Good luck!

We always have to go at busy times so this will be two weeks in July (but not the fourth), and though the kids are considered adults a ten year old cannot be expected to wait to eat dinner too late (9pm or after). I don't care about the toll free issue it's more a time issue. An email I can send from work during my break, a phone call I can't do from work. By the time I get home and get everyone picked up from various activities, get dinner on and everything cleaned up it is too late to call MS. I was just trying to avoid spending an hour on the phone!

Thanks, Doc, that will work out perfect for what I want. I really don't have any difficult to get ADR's, so it looks like MS will get a nice e-mail on Monday!

There are at least 2 toll free numbers that will get you to WDW Dining. I use 877-939-3732 or 800-828-0228. On both numbers, press 3 after the message starts. You do end up answering some questions before you actually get a Dining CM, but if yor're not trying to get breakfast at the castle or V & A's, it probably doesn't matter.

Best wishes -

I don't believe that MS will do this any longer by email. They used to but the variables are just too many. But like anything Disney and DVC, you might or might not get a sympathetic CM and get a different answer.

I thought I saw something from DVC saying they will not do dining by e-mail anymore. Like Dean said, there are too many variables. By the time they e-mail you back with options, they are likely to be gone.

Doc, I don't think that MS will do dining reservations by email. I tried a few months ago and was told I need to call in.
