How do you get groceries delivered to your resort?

We usually drive to WDW from Maryland & we bring cases of bottled water & breakfast foods with us in the car. This year we are flying (YIPPEE!). I would still like to have my bottled water - we really go through it! I have read about some people getting groceries delivered to your room....how does this work?
1)Do you order before or after you arrive at WDW?
2)Who do you order from?
3) Can you do it online?

We used www.wegoshop.com in April. They were great and I would use them again. I placed the order on line a couple weeks before we left. She brought everything to our room right at the time we requested. It was so much better than stopping at the grocery store. She even picked up wine for us.

We also used WEGOSHOP last week. Go to their website and fill in the shopping form. Rebekah replied back to me the same day. She said to just call her when we get to our room and she'll be there soon thereafter. When we were being driven to our room in the golfcart at 2:30pm last Wednesday, I called her. She said she would be there by 3pm and she was there at 3pm. Everything on my order was there. She subsitituted 2 8-packs (?) of the individual Cheese Pringles because WalMart was out of the canisters. This actually worked out better because everyone had their own small package to snack on at the park. Also, I specifically asked for the smallest package of ham and smallest package (8 count) of sliced cheese because I knew we would only make a sandwich once or maybe twice. She picked up the larger packages and we each ate one sandwich the whole time. The rest was wasted and left behind. But other than that, I was very pleased with the service and would definitely call on them again.

By the way - this is one family running the local shop and she mentioned they are getting busier and busier. I would suggest calling way ahead of time, not just the 2 weeks recommended. They have hired more people, but are just now in the process of training them.

Another vote for wegoshop! They delivered our items to Pop and they were waiting for us at the Bell station because we checked in after midnight. They cannot deliver ahead of time if you are ordering liquor however since they need to verify your age. It was so wonderful having all of our waterbottles, breakfast items and snacks. Even with the service fee we saved a ton of money.

I've asked this before, but I'll ask again...are there any other options than wegoshop, I'd love to use them but they are closed the week we are going :sad2: I have looked into netgrocer and goodings, but neither deliver the variety (perishables, alcohol) that wegoshop does. TIA

We are giving wegoshop a try next month. I'll let everyone know how it went. Others have used Netgrocer and another service called Peapod.

Good luck!

We used wegoshop last week also...and they delivered to our resort at 10:00pm with no complaint about the late arrival! They were great! Would definately use them again!

Do you just ask for what ever you want, I didn't see any check lists on the website. Is it the price the order comes to and then the fee?
So I would work it like I was asking a friend to pick up somethings at the grocery store, order 1/2 gal 2% milk, loaf of potato bread, etc... :flower:

Our flight doesn't come in till 10:10, another post said they delivered around midnight. I won't be ordering any wine, would they drop it off earlier or come when we get there?

I use netgrocer.com. Granted, one cannot order fresh items like fruit, but I can pick that up at the resorts. Use it occaissionally for short trips when I don't want to go offsite, or when I am travelling on a work project to an area which may not have a grocery store nearby.

I like netgrocer.com because you can pick exactly the items you want!

I just placed my order with Wegoshop for our July 6 trip a few days ago. You choose where you want them to shop and write your shopping list. You tell them what brand, size, etc. Very easy and they e-mailed me back a confirmation right away. I can change and update my order as needed before our trip. Hope this helps! :flower:

Please call them anyway. It's true they are going on vacation for a few weeks, but they have hired some people and were beginning to train them last week. They were afraid to commit to orders during the time they were away in case the new hirees were not working out. So officially, yes Rebekah and her family will be out of town. But unofficially they may still be operating their business if the training goes well.

You coud ship a box of cereal and snacks to the resort and buy milk and fruit in the food court. That way, your food would be there when you arrive. You could also put insulated plastic water bottless at Target($2.49) in your box and refill them in the food court with water and at the parks. Good luck! :flower:
