How do you get energy?

I am just so blah lately! I feel like I don't have the strength or willpower to do much of anything. I don't know if its the new medicine or what but it drives me crazy! I find myself napping and then I feel worse when I wake up. I feel sleepy or tired all the time and I need ENERGY!!! I wish I could go back to work but with Beanie now being able to be left alone for even a minute that isn't a possibility. What can I do to get some energy????

Maybe those Multi Vitamins with Energy?? But I don't want anything that will make me appetite soar either.
 
Until I could no longer swallow them, I took the Centrum suppliments for energy. They helped out to some degree.

Otherwise, no idea Beth. Tell me when you learn the secret.

that probably sounds counterintuitive, but really when i am sleepy or feeling blah, exercise perks me right up.

Don't know. I've just gotten to where I can't swallow large pills. I choke on them, and I'm too lazy to take 4 pills in place of 1 (which is what it would take if I cut them into pieces I could swallow)
 
Caity I know your right but thats where the self motivation comes in. I need a big microphone saying "Beth get your a** up and do something...NO DO NOT LAY DOWN!" Maybe some kind of shock mecanism on the couch...LOL!
 
My sister and my mom ( I should be taking them too ;) both take a mult ivitamin every single morning and they both claim, it makes a HUGE difference in terms of energy levels throughout the day. They don't affect your appetite either, they're called "stress tabs."

That's not counterintuitive at all. Exercise releases endorphins, which perk you up. That's what I do when I'm feeling blah.....
 
I'm a vitamin junkie. There could be lots of things contributing to lack of energy, but I've heard that B vitamins are important for energy. I take a multi-vitamin and additional B complex vitamins (amongst other things!).

I know several people who feel that being out in the sun energizes them too.
 
I put some of my favorite "peppy" music on and dance/exercise. It really helps with the blahs.:D
 
I will get some vitamins too! Being out in the sun does energize me as well but I have to stay indoors with Beanie all day and she sleeps all the time which probably contributes to me being blah!
 
It IS hard to exercise.

But it makes such a difference in my energy level. I swear by vitamins and walks. Also, the walking gives me a deeper level of sleep, which in turn gives me more energy.

How about taking one of your dogs for a walk?
