So, some people aren't straightforward with things. They beat around the bush.
So, if say you want to talk to someone, but don't feel like just starting to talk to them what do you do?

Hit them on the head. That'll get their attention. :P

Seriously though, you got me.:confused3

I usually just "hint" and if they don't get the hint I ask them.

If your not straight forward in a conversation it can turn into one of those "So, what's going on?", "Oh, nothing much", "Whatcha doin'?", "Oh nothing"

And that's not good.

I hate those type of conversations because then I feel like a fool for even starting the conversation in the first place.

I know. That's why I normally don't call people unless I have an agenda.

Those conversations are just annoying. That's why I've decided to just be straight forward.

I just kind of go up to the person and start talking. I'm really good at making conversation normally. I don't really like to hint, I don't know if I even know how to hint, lol. yea I would say just be straight forward and talk to them about what you want to talk to them about.

That's not what I mean.
What I mean is, you want a more interesting way of starting a conversation.
I have different ways of getting the attention of the person I want.
Like running into them on purpose, or saying something loudly that catches their interest.

I don't do those kinds of things to people I have nothing better to say to. My hey what's up conversations are with people I don't like.

um....i guess I jump on peoples backs sometimes, or sit on their laps, or play with their hair....idk

I run up to them and start yelling. Sometimes I jump on them and we fall to the ground.

Now, there's a conversation starter :)

i just hi and then go straight into it.

Just be yourself, start a conversation. It shows your approachable and confident and being so is one thing that really captures someones attention. Once you've got the attention, do a bit of light flirting ;) It never hurts.

even if it is someone that you are not necessarily into? cuz i mean if i started flirting with my best friend and not joking, i think she might get a little freaked out...

Well, I normally, to get the attention, make some sort of weird noise, or even sometimes a loud "Wee woo!!!" and wave my hands in the air... ask Colby, on AIM I say Wee woo, too. :p

I also just get right to the point. None of that dumb chitty chatty stuff. If I have no point, which usually is the case, I talk about random stuff, and sometimes inform people of things they don't want to know, a little too much info.

In real life, I just go up to people and start talking to them. Somewhere in the middle of the conversation, I'll say hi and ask how they are.
