How do you get a top ten pin?

Besides winning the competitions, are there any other ways of winning the top ten pin? What is it the top ten of? Do you get it for placing top ten on the VMK games? Thanks in advance for your help. Sorry if this was asked before- I searched but may have missed it.

Thanks, Roxane! At first I thought it was for being in the top ten in the games and I was going to go out and get a new mouse and start practicing! Good thing I asked here first.
