How do you get a campsite when there are none available?

Am looking for campsite at WDW over New Years and they are all booked up. I've been checking a couple times a day for a week now and it's always full. I recognize it's a peak time and I obviously should have done this sooner. Does anyone have any tips beyond what I am already doing? Any advantage to calling in? Are there any other good non WDW campsites nearby? Ty for any help!

First of all, try asking this on the camping board.

That is a very busy time of year. I have seen "tricks" to actually try booking MORE nights than you need, then phoning and canceling the nights you don't need. I don't know if this would work over New Years, but it's worth a try, even though it sounds counterintuitive.
