How do you find a person?

About 3 years ago a woman I worked with was moving to Hawaii. She had a car she needed to get rid of and since she owed so much on it we worked out a deal where I would just make her payments for her. There wasn't and still is no question of trust in the issue. We drew up a contract and had it notarized and have kept in touch on occasion to keep each other informed. She moved a couple of times after that and always called to give me her contact info. I spoke with her last spring when she said she was moving back to MS. After the hurricane I called to see if she was alright and wasn't able to contact her. I called the hospital she was working at and they told me she had evacuated to Atlanta with her boys and had decided to stay there. They didn't have any further contact info. I've waited a while to see if she'd call but she hasn't. The car will be paid off later this month and since the bill comes here to my house the title will come here too. I'll need her to sign off on the title. We've kept the car licensed in MS because the state of VA says she has to register it here herself or provide me with a bill of sale and title even though I have a limited power of attorney that says I can register it in any state I wish. Anyway, I have to find this woman to finalize everything and I've run into dead ends everywhere.

I tried Google and Yahoo people search and only found her former address. She doesn't have a number listed in Atlanta and the one thing we left out of the contract was alternate contact info. Where do I go from here? There is no reason she'd want to be hiding from me as she doesn't owe me any money and I have a legal document giving me the right to possess the car. I really think that in all the stress of evacuating and relocating she's just forgotten and may have lost the documents with my contact info. I'm just stumped as to how to go about finding her now. Any ideas?

Might one of the relief agencies (Red Cross or Salvation Army) be able to help? She may be getting some services from them. Just a thought. Good luck.

None of the agencies I've contacted so far has any info on her. My guess is that she went to live with family and probably hasn't needed any. I tried sending mail to her last known address but it came back undeliverable. Her address or rather the home at that address doesn't exist anymore. Is it possible to find out if she's filed a change of address?? ARGH I'm so frustrated!!!

I am assuming that if she is a registered nurse, she will have be licensed by the state of Georgia. Maybe try that avenue for contact?

She is actually a respiratory therapist. I did consider the possibility that she'd be registered in GA but have no idea how to find that out. Do we have any RTs in GA here on the board that can direct me?

Thanks Pooh. She's not listed. I got info today that she might have gone to Arizona, not Atlanta. I did find a listing for her name in AZ and called and left a message. The voice on the machine sounded sorta like her but the voice isn't as high. If it's her she'll definitely call me back. If not then back to square 1. I couldn't find a listing like that for AZ.

Try www.rb.state.az.us

If you go to www.crimetime.com and then click on the Black Book there is a menu on the lefthand side. The State Records option will give you listings of each state and various types of state records that are available on-line.

A great way often times to check out your physicians and their license status!

ETA: it doesnt look like that first link in this post is very useful. Sorry!

Ok, several listings on zabasearch for her name. Some of which I know for sure are former addresses, some of which couldn't possibly be her. Still, brick walls all the way...sigh. Professional license searches are turning up nothing. Wonder how much a private detective would be??
