How do you feel about your job?

I hate my job so much that I gave 2 weeks notice and my last day is this Sunday. I work part time in retail and a management position came up, I applied and I got it!!

I managed an apartment complex that was falling apart and I felt terrible renting such problematic units to people. I just couldn't in good conscious do it anymore. Plus I ended up with a better salary in a job with a corporate ladder and better benefits. Plus my daughter is happy I will only have one job.

I'm glad I finally did it, I have no idea what I was afraid of.

My job's okay. It's only a part-time desk job for now as I'm still in school, but it pays my bills and car insurance and all that. Plus it gives me times to catch up on all my school work.

I love the job I have now - I'm a nanny to a 6 mo. old girl, the daughter of good friends of ours. I watch the baby at our house, so it's a bit like being a part-time SAHM and getting paid for it!

My last job was just miserable - too stressful for words. I started having panic attacks and severe anxiety shortly after I started work there. I'd signed a one year contract, but had to leave after just 5 months - and I'm still amazed I lasted that long. Fortunately I had a note from my doctor that got me out of the contract!

I love my job. I used to hate being a pharmacist until 6 years ago when I took my current job. I can actually BE a pharmacist here.

WOW! Just last night, I was thinking of posting something like this! I'd say that great minds think alike, but I wouldn't want to insult you like that.

And since I've been unemployed for a while now, I didn't vote. I couldn't decide if I should vote based on my last job, or based on what I do now.

We must think alike!! Almost all of my thread ideas come to me right before I go to bed. I'm such a loser, I need a life outside of Dis. I posted the thread at work so I couldn't give MY opinion of my job there without my job not being there tomorrow. It's not THAT bad but it's not great either. The worst part is driving an hour and a half to and from work. I'm dreading gas going up again this summer. And I work with a ton of women who just complain about EVERYTHING!!!! It drives me crazy. I've only been there for 3 months but I've been looking online for another job. I used to be a teller for 5 years but I don't know if I can go back to customer service. There are some seriously strange people out there. Oh well, I'll keep looking...

No job here right now but I've seriously been pounding the pavement the last 2-3 weeks and have gotten over 2 dozen apps/resumes in at local places so I'm hoping that will change soon ~ I'd love to have a job to complain about

I like my job well enough. I like caring for the patients, although it's getting harder and harder to do because there are so many other things that impede the patient care process, the staffing shortages being probalby the biggest issue. I have been at it a long time now...23 years...and wouldn't mind a change of pace, something still in the health care field, but not necessarily bedside nursing in a na acute care hospital.
