How do you explain to a 5 year old that he has to be quicker than mommy if he wants to eat the peanut butter cups in his halloween candy. :lmao: DS just asked me to help him find a peanut butter cup in his halloween bucket, but I ate them all yesterday. Every one of them! I just have no self control when it comes to candy. He looked so dissappointed, I feel like such a bad mommy. I guess next year we will have to visit more houses on halloween.

I thought you checked them and they looked really old and mushy and needed to be thrown in the garbage. :rolleyes1

At my house it was always just a rule that Mom got first pick at the trick or treat goodies! DD does get even. She's 16 now. We bought candy even though we never get any trick or treaters at our house. DH bought Reese's peanut butter cups - the full size ones. A package of either 6 or 8 because he likes them best. DD ate them all the next day!

Blame it on the dog ;)

(In reality, our dog actually did jump on the kitchen table today and help herself to 10 or so pieces of candy. Came back to bits of wrappers all over the kitchen. )

Bad mommy. No more candy for you.

You know, I was in a couple of different stores today and both had Reese's peanut butter cups with Halloween packaging on sale for 75% off.

Just saying ... :rolleyes1

My son's allergic to peanuts... the rest of us fight over his snickers and pb cups.

LOL, he will learn by experience.

My 13 yo DD hid the good stuff. I have to do some serious snooping to satisfy my cravings. Kids are brutal.

Well...you could tell him that you tasted one & it tasted funny so you had to try them all just to be sure the others didn't taste the same way. ;) :teeth:

My son's candy is off limits to me. When he was 3, he discovered that his parents had been eating his candy. Never again.

Peanut butter cups = every man, woman, and child for themselves. :rotfl:

DH took about 20 peanut butter cups from DDs stock. He put them in the fridge and was crying because they "disappeared". The giant goofball ate them and just doesn't realize it.

Tell him it's a life lesson, the survival of the fittest! The early bird gets the Peanut butter cup! :cool1:

Oh yeah and you made me start thinking about the candy.

Thanks...thanks a lot.
