How do you eat your food???

I am indiscriminate! My husband, however, eats all of one thing then the next. He has even been know (and teased ) for turning his plate as he goes from one to the other.::yes::

I do the same thing, I just didn't know I did it until DH pointed it out to me when we were first married.

I absolutely CAN'T have my food touching. I can't even have gravey on my mashed potatoes because it will run onto everything else :crazy2:. My step-mom used to joke that she would make shepards pie just to try to teach me that it's OK for food to touch.
I don't eat one thing at a time. It's a bite of this, a bite of that.

I always thought I was the only one who did that!! With fast food, yep eat all of one thing and then the other, and always in the same order. NO, food can't touch unless it's a food that's meant to touch other things- for example corn is meant on mased potatoes (unlike the one poster, we can't serve one without the other in my house) but other than that no touching allowed!! I also cut the corn off the cob, hate the cob love the corn...and I pick the last bite -usually the perfect best tasting bite!

All the people who can't have their food touching is cracking me up. I'm the opposite. I always mix all my food together whenever possible. I'm a huge fan of casseroles. :teeth:

I eat everything at once - I don't mind mixing things. DH, on the other hand, can't have his food touching and will eat one thing at a time. He says it is to "get the full flavor of that food" - whatever floats your boat :boat:

I'm so happy to find my support group! I eat one thing at a time also. French fries before burger. I get about halfway through the fries and start on my burger. My dh knows then he can have the rest of the fries. I also don't like my foods touching if possible. I will eat casseroles though just have to think about it being the main thing after I eat something before that. I am so glad to have found my weird food habit people because my family and friends and dh makes fun too.

Corn may not touch mashed potatoes because the gravy will run on the corn.

Likewise, rice should not touch anything. I hate it when I go to a restaurant and they pile the dish on top of the rice! Then the rice gets all soggy, stuck to the meats, ugh! Icky... Bleech, bleech, bleech, bleech!!!!

Most food should not touch each other unless they are meant to be together, like casseroles, stews, etc. Otherwise, stay the heck in your own corner!

I have to peel my oranges very cleanly which means getting every bit of white pith that I can grab, especially the stringy ones. I can easily take 20 minutes peeling an orange.

I drain the juice out of fruit cocktail, fruit cups, etc before I eat them.

I can only eat canned peaches, I can't eat them raw. So, sorry to all ye Georgians, cause I won't be eating the peaches in your great state unless they come in a can and says Del Monte on it.:teeth:

I like to mix my food sometimes. I just depends on what it is. Chicken, black beans, and rice, yes. Jello and corn flakes, no.

My only eating quirk is when it comes to burgers. I eat them in a circle. I will take a bite, chew, swallow, rotate the burger, and then take the next bite. I have no particular reason for doing this, but I've always done it. And oddly enough, I don't do it with sandwiches...just fast-food burgers.
