DD camp home for overnight from her job as a camp counselor. She was out in one of the downpours we've had and her shoes got soaked. They are nice Skechers and are very damp.

Any idea how to hurry the drying process??

Learned this while running cross country races, take the bottoms out (the cushion) and stuff the shoeswith newspaper. Mine would always be pretty much dry by the next morning (from afternoon practice)

Soccer boots.....Lots of newspaper JAMMED inside overnight and then a bout with a hair dryer. Then a dose of conditioner and they are as good as new. It does take some effort though.

Put them right in the dryer. We were at Universal this year and it was monsoon rain all day. 2 days of letting the shoes sit out to dry then we finally stuck them in a dryer and they dried quick. Or you can stick a hair dryer in them, but be warned you have to keep switching hair dryers or they'll overheat. A clothes dryer is the best option. My dad's always throwing his sneakers in the washer and dryer to clean them. It won't shrink them.

Great info! Right now we have several pair of sneakers drying after the rains earlier this week. I'm going to try the newspaper trick tonight!

They are stuffed with newspaper now. The Skechers site said not to put them in the dryer. I will put them in the sun tomorrow.

Thanks for the tips.

Set them in front of a dehumidifier, dries them very quickly.
