IM still having trouble with the computer DH did a complete recovery on it and as soon as I do into internet explorer is when I get the spyware pop-up and cant do anything else on it

anyways thats another post...

this one is I use the internet explorer and do about 4 rewards pluse do the emails on AOL but I know some of you say you open another window and do 2 or more things at the same time.

How do I do this and please be basic as Im not good with computers.

also what exactly is the internet explorer and why does that give me trouble and not AOL

IE is a browser as is AOL

IE is giving you trouble I believe because you have downloaded a Trojan Horse from a website you have visited that affects IE not AOL.

You do not have to do this it will download all on it's own without your knowledge if you are not running a firewall or a virus program.

Trojan are very dangerous in that they STEAL your info off your computer ie name address credit card numbers things like that. The are used for all types of theft like id and credit cards.

You can not fix it by doing a restore. They have to be removed.

If you need to get a virus scanner, I have found that the free one from AVG works great! (http://www.grisoft.cz) and run updates. Once it has found the virus, follow instructions. IF it doesn't/can't remove it, go to http://www.symantec.com and search for removal information. Symantec sometimes has removal tools or detailed explanation on how to remove it from the registry. Many times you need to put pc in "safe mode" to do this or it won't remove. Don't fear, it is usually easy to do. Do not have anything else running while doing this.

If you need help, please PM me, I have been helping my members with this for about 3 weeks now to get pc's happy again.

Always remember, a pc is basically a file box, you can back up files (on hard copy) and do a reformat (not a bad thing) which is always good to do every once and a while. This will save you from needing to get a new pc, most ones now are just enough, they just need a little TLC.
