I got some ribs for dinner tonight and thought I would do them on the grill. I'v never done them this way so what's the best way?
Thanks!

We wrap them in foil and cook them on low heat in the oven for several hours then we throw them on the grill and add sauce and cook for 7-8 minutes per side until yummy! :)

Pork :cat: :yay:

trying to avoid using the oven today. :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

I don't. I cook them in the crockpot. YUMMY!!! This is a FAVORITE at our house. :teeth:

Pork ribs (countrystyle or boneless). Season with a rub made of black pepper & garlic powder. Place in crockpot. Add 1 bottle of favorite BBQ sauce - like Sweet Baby Rays. (1.5 - 2 bottles if ALOT of ribs) Sprinkle with minced onion flakes.

cook on low 4-6 hrs until pulling/falling apart easily with forks.

YUMMY!!! Add some rice & corn on the cob.

Put the crock pot outside or in the garage if you think it will add heat to house today.

If you don't want to bake them in the oven today due to the heat, then boil them first. If you don't precook them, they can be very tough from the grill.

After they are boiled, let them cool. Then before dinner, turn your grill on low and start grilling them with the bbq sauce. We prefer lower grill for longer cooking. Really helps get the bbq sauce carmelized and tastes yummy!

I would be grilling them for at least 45 minutes before eating them. They will melt in your mouth.

Best way to do it is smoke them in low heat (200-225 degrees) for 6-8 hours. PM me if you'd like a few other tips.

What kind of pork ribs? Spare ribs, St Louis cut, babybacks or something else?

I love to salt & pepper, cover with a light coat of yellow mustard and press on about 3/4 of a cup dark brown sugar on St Louis or spare ribs. I them slow roast at 200 degrees in the oven for at least 2 hours, longer if I can and finish them on the grill.

If you can set your grill that low, I don't see any reason why you can't roast them out there. Are you using a gas or charcoal grill?

I like the ribs finished at a higher temperature on the grill to get a nice crust, which is easy for me with the gas grill.

They are just regular spare ribs, not the thicker cut.

I usually do them in the crockpot actually (with sweet baby rays) but thought I'd try something different.

I do have a gas grill. I could regulate the heat on that. I was thinking about the top rack on low for a couple hours and then finish on the lower?

Same here, we bake them (covered) for three hours with liquid smoke and BBQ for just a few minutes

Should be good this way, or if your grill is large enough, do an indirect method on the lower rack. (No heat under the meat, only off to one side or both.) I often make tin foil packs of soaked wood chips to add smoke on my grill.

I've also put Sweet Baby Ray's Hot and Spicy on top of the mustard/sugar with good results.
