What color tee to buy for what transfer design? I was going to buy a buinch of white tees & then I saw some of you put them on colored tees. I was a little apprehensive but I figured what the hey! So how do I do this? I need to order my tees today so I have them hopefully by the weekend or next week to get them done. But I am afraid!! Please help! Thanks!

I generally stay away from the white tees because a lot of them are at least a little see-through. I'll use them for the men of our group, but probably not the women!
I printed out copies of my designs and took them to Wal-Mart to coordinate the designs with different colors of shirts and picked my favorites.

I only did one white tee, the others are bright colors and I decided on the color but one of the not so bright colors in the shirt..bringing out that color..I have lime green, orange, yellow, black, blue and tan. I guess it's whatever color you want. My shirts look great..

I didn't limit myself to t-shirts. There is 5 of us and we got a great deal on sleeveless polo shirts(like golf shirts)
since it will still be hot in Sept we decided sleeveless was the way to go.

We bought the shirts in different colors and then picked our designs.

I made the image to fit on the left side of the buttons. They came out cute

The bright colored tees really come in handy when you're trying to keep a group together, makes everyone easy to spot.

Print your design on PAPER in COLOR. Go to your local Wal-mart or Target or other store. Look at the primary and secondary colors in your design and hold them up to those color tee shirts at the store. Once you see one that "pops", go back home and order them online cheaper. If you're not sure, you could consider buying a couple different colors at the store and printing two transfers - one for each color and seeing which one "pops" and is most eye-appealing to you before ordering enough for the entire gang.

Here's what I did:

design - purple & orange primary colors in Goofy bust design - I picked lime green (a 2ndary color in his hat). Wow, that shirt POPS!

design - 4 diamonds w/blue trim of the various parks w/Princesses around the bottom. Primary color... hmmm, hard to say, blue and maybe pink. I bought a hot pink tee - wow that shirt pops too!

design - "dash" incredible - primary color red/black/lime green circle. 2ndary color yellow "i". I picked yellow shirts. TBD if it'll pop... I don't have them ironed on yet but I think I didn't pick the BEST color on this one. AND, the bad news is that this is the one that I bought TWENTY! duh. didn't follow my own advise above!

another tip - it'll be easier to "pick out" your group from the crowd if you see a sea of 20 yellow tees walking toward you vs. more people with white on!
