I just came back from disney May 11. All I want to do is go back. So I decide we are going to go back sept 08 (hoping for free dining) because I want to stay at the AKL so I need time to save up. Since sept 08 is so far away I can not book anything until march 07 that is 500 days out. I really don't know what to do with myself. I have started my trip report but can only type so much at a time. What do you do when you just came back and your next trip is still so far away. :sad1:

people in my office is saying I am more i should i put this bwitchy :stir: now than before vacation and I should not be. I just tell them that I just want to be in disney.

I feel your pain, I just came back on the 16th, have not even gone back to work yet..and want to go back to Disney, the heck with work..... :badpc:

That is a long way off to plan, and you sound anxious to go again, but want to stay at AKL for your next trip so need to save up...Here is my idea, maybe not a good one but my two cents on it....split your stay between AKL and maybe a Value Resort you like, even if it is only two nights at AKL you will have stayed there and return maybe in Sept 07 for free dining hopefully... :sunny:

I plan "fake" trips every once in a while. It helps ease the pain a bit, heck you may even find a good deal that you just can't resist. ;)

ohhhhhh, I just thought of something else!!!! Why not go to one of those travel places in the mall (we have them here, if you don't maybe call around?) They have those programs where you can plan a vacation and pay a little at a time. Heck you could really stretch out your payments, or even finish paying early. Whey you are done saving you book. At least that way you will feel like you are working towards it.

When I took the kids for DD's 8th birthday, I promised them we'd go back for DS's 8th, figuring that would give me 4 years to save up again. But then my ex-husband moved to Florida, which meant lots of short trips as I accompanied the kids down to visit their dad. Now DS's birthday trip is in the works, and I don't have as much saved up as I'd thought I would - but Disney has very obligingly offered to pay for our meals while we're there this time, so I guess it all works out!

I've definitely been spoiled by these unexpected trips over the past couple of years, and now I do get cranky if I go too long without my WDW fix. Pepperw23's strategy also works for me: I like to fall asleep to planning my "next" visit (even if I don't know when that will happen), choosing a park or resort and mentally walking myself through that day.
