My neighbor took a 185 lb doe. He brought us over a shoulder roast...I have no clue how to cook the thing??
Can I put it in a cooking bag with veggies and cook it all day like I would a beef roast???
I won't eat the thing, but I am going to make it for our superbowl party for the guys.
Suggestions please!!

But I know a lot of people really like it. I have tried it and I just don't care for it, you really should try at least a bit.
Ok in my own defense...I didn't ASK for the thing, it was given to us after the fact...I would have been fine and dandy without it but DH is now in 7th Heaven and has a list started of who is coming for dinner on Bambi, I mean , venison night.
My Dad was a big hunter and would expect my Mom to cook it periodically, She and I were like "why"? The only way that I could tolerate it was to take the tenderloin, beat the crap out of it to tenderize it, soak it in white milk and batter and fry it. Had worcestershire sauce in the marinade too. SHe also made stew and chili (from the ground meat). The roasts definitely need moist heat or they'll be worse than leather.
