how do you clean your refillable mugs?

I put dish soap in a travel size container to clean the mugs each night, but just use water at the sink near the refill station to rinse them out in between refills during the day.

Ditto on the hotel hand soap or shampoo (as long as it doesn't have conditioner in it, too!). But, I love the sponge idea, especially with the dawn for clothing stains. DD and DH always get food on their clothes, not me of course :rolleyes1! When the mugs get home, they go straight on the top rack of the dishwasher for a thorough cleaning!

We also tend to switch from coffee to soda in the evening so a trick I learned is to rub the inside of the mug with the lemon slices they provide & then just rinse at the hot water station. It works like a charm! :goodvibes

The hot water station water isn't very hot IMO. I like to rinse with the really hot water from the coffee machine spigot.

We rinse them with hot water in our rooms when we are finished with them for the day.

I found sponges with dish soap in them before our trip this Sept. I know it's probably more cost efficient to make them yourself, but They were less than $2 for 4 little sponges.

I also just fill a small travel size container with dish soap, I like to wash out the coffee pot too before we use it.

I had a sample size of dish soap that I had gotten in the mail, so we used that every night to wash our mugs. We used the room sinks because as pp said, the hot water at the drink station wasn't very hot.

When we are done...we rinse them at the counter service place...and put paper towels inside so they dry!

We did a split stay - 5 nts Pop in 2 rooms and 4 nts Kidani in a 1 bedroom - so while we were at POP we did bring a mini dish soap to wash them but mostly just hot water - when we got over to Kidani we put them in the dishwasher each night. It was great to get them really clean.

I went to Dollar Tree & bought a 2 pk of nice size sponges. I cut each of those in to 8 pcs. I didn't wet the sponges, just put some Dawn on each of them & waited for them to dry completely. (I put a plastic bag under them just in case the Dawn went thru.) I then placed the sponges in to baggies. These worked great and we've used them for other vacations too, not just at WDW. I was amazed at how many suds I got from each sponge. I loved not having to worry about liquids when flying, or if my bottle of dish soap leaked.
