How Do You Clean A Wool Beret?

My DS is in JROTC and wears a yellow beret as part of his uniform. Over the past couple of years, it has started to look really dirty. I took it to the dry cleaners, but they said they don't clean stuff like that. Any other ideas? He has a compition coming up and I want him to look his best.

Not sure but what about that product "Dryel". Or woolite, then block it like you would a sweater.

I would probably try washing it with woolite in cold water and drying it flat. And, knowing me, I would order a new one to replace it, just in case washing it made matters worse. LOL
