We are only about 25 days out before we leave for our 13 night trip at the World!! We have never been for that long before and are looking forward to this trip being a little slower paced. This will be our 1st trip this year but last year my daughter and I went 4 times (once to HK Disney!).

We have been doing some things along the way to keep up the excitement for the kids. My Disney buddy and her 11 year old are going with me and my 3 and 4 year old. We have made Disney chains, watched Disney movies, looked at pictures from past trips. We even made posters of past Disney trip pictures for each one of us to hang in our rooms. We have watched Disney movies of us at the World, watched videos on YouTube of the parks, and made a tulle skirt for my daughter to wear when she meets Cinderella.

What are some things that you all have done to get the excitement building? I just want to do something maybe just once a week for the next few weeks before we leave but have run out of ideas!

We have a clip board with countdown calendar. I made one for our last trip and again for this one. Each day we rip off the top sheet to reveal the number of days till Disney. Some days I added stickers on or Disney Pictures for an added surprise. Every one gets a turn taking a number off. We started at 100 days and are now down to 22!!!:cool1:  All three of my kids, my wife, and myself know exactly how many days we have and it keep us excited each day! Heck even my co-workers know how many days left till we leave. I go in every day saying how may days till Disney!:woohoo:

my younger sister, Sue, sends an email with a countdown of how many days left till we leave. Each day has a different disney character on it. We are down to 119 days now till the Sister Trip to celebrate my 40th birthday.

We had a fairy godmailer send the kids postcards from the kids favorite character. When the postcards arrived we paired them with a goodie bag of things they could take on the trip. Some things were for entertaining them on the ride down and we also included a new set of disney pj's and swimsuits for them to wear while there.

Mickey "sends" my kids something about every 10 days or so, we start at 100 days. We just leave it in their rooms to find in the morning.

I am constantly on the lookout for Disney items, especially things we can use on the trip, airplane, use in their autograph book or photo album.

Mickey will be sending them this year coloring/activity books, Mickey/Minnie Pez (and other characters), stickers, invisible ink activity pads, small books, markers, stamper sets, sunglasses, T-shirts, etc. I find most of this stuff in the dollar store, a few months back they had vintage Mickey stuff at Target for $1 - so I stocked up.

They look forward to it & we tell them it's because Mickey can't wait to see them and wants them to have a great trip!
