How do you budget food at the World

We usually eat a granola bar or banana in the room or get something small for breakfast. My kids would not eat a big meal for breakfast, so it really works out better to schedule an early lunch each day (whether it's CS or TS). If we did a TS breakfast, they wouldn't eat much, and they would still want a bigger meal for lunch.

I would never schedule 2 TS in one day (I have in the past and we didn't enjoy it). My kids like buffets, and they are expensive, but we do them because that would be our main meal and then later we would get snacks or a CS if we got hungry.

We did the regular dining plan once and it was too much food. I can't even imagine doing the Deluxe dining plan.

Epcot,QS Sunshine seasons is the best- Also around the country side, the little places each one offers can be cool..my fave is Tangerine Cafe in Morrocco ,one DS loves Japan qs, my DH loves Norway bakery/snacks,I love Germany caramel kitchen fresh popcorn-
Flame Tree is the best in AK,
MK, my kids like Pecos Bills, I like to visit the Contempo cafe,or Capt. cooks for a meal (yum to both)
Studios has pretty bad food everywhere IMHO, tho near the TOT you can get a MONSTER ice cream/warm cookie sandwich for 4.00 (oh man!) and assorted quick things...or Starring Rolls, early in the day has sandwiches and great cupcakes(they are huge also)
Earl of Sandwich,or Pollo Campero in DTD is cheap and good....
Personally,I think the resort hotels offer better qs than the parks, except for Epcot...

1. always use the higher prices.

2. awe to be new again the fun of learning and planing, enjoy it

3. don't worry about the 10 year olds heck at cs and ts dinning plan or not my 10 year orders off the kids menu when she wants.

Here's what we do. look at the place we would like to do. add up the highest price on the menu and the lowest meal divide by 2 add 4.00 for a drink, one appetizer, one dessert times add all together times it by 20%

this will give you an over estimated cost meal.

this has not failed me yet always have money left over in food budget at end of trip.
