Hello everyone! I was wondering how you guys go about booking your Disney vacation? Do you use a travel agent, the Disney site directly, or an online travel site like Expedia?

I have used Expedia in the past for other trips without any problems, and right now if I book through Expedia rather than the Disney website, I will save about $500 on my vacation. If I were to book through them and some "Free Dining" became available, could I avail of that, or only if I book directly with Disney ?

Finally, does anyone know a way to price vacations with airfare on the Disney site if departing from Canada? I tried, but had to select a US departure point.

Thanks so much!

disney only does airfare out of us airports so you could do airfare out of buffalo or syracuse or that sort of thing.

We book throught Disney. I don't know about the airport/airfare, so I hope you can get some answers. :)

I do my research first and find the best deal for me, or at least what I think is the best deal and then I call Disney. I do this because it's part of the experience, the beginning of our trip. To talk directly to a CM, and if they are good the excitement starts to build with that first phone call.

Well so far we have booked with West Jet 2 times, as they had the best deals! We shop around a lot! Call them and get a price check it against disney, and check expedia for flights as well as WestJet and Air Canada, it has saved us a lot doing our homework.
The trip this past summer we booked the resort and dining package with Disney but used Expedia for flights.

We leave in 1 week and on Westjet again, they gave us awesome deals on flights, resort and free dining (which was better $$ saving then using a discount for us), it was $2560 total for EVERYTHING for 2 of us.

Hope it helps, just remember that keep checking the sites and calling does work!

I use expedia or bookit if staying offsite and want airfare, but Disney Reservations if staying onsite. Although, I did get a great rate on ASMu last year thru expedia (used a discount code they sent me).
