How do you book your cruise ??

Do you book directly thu DCL online or over the phone ? Or do you use a travel agency ? Has anyone booked using the coupons from the Entertainment Books ?

I always book online with DCl directly. I have never used a travel agent as I like to be able to view all of my information on the DCL site after I book with the countdown clock! I have never used the Entertainment book coupons so cannot attest to that. I also call DCL to make sure they are not offering any additional OBC or specials prior to booking through DCL on the web.

Whatever you decide to do have a WONDERfilled cruise!!!

This is our first time booking a Disney cruise and we booked with DCL direct. A few people on other forums said we were much better off booking with a TA but I have to say I disagree. One of the TA's I have contacted now keeps emailing me asking why I'm not booking with her, she doesn't understand how I've found a different price etc. That was a one off though, the other ones I contacted were lovely, especially Dreams Unlimited!

I enjoy having complete control, and, if I make a mistake, I can fix it.

I used a travel agent once for Disneyland because we needed to start paying on the vacation before the Disneyland website allowed us to, but other than that, we just book everything through the main site.

We are going on our first Disney cruise. We booked through a TA.
Actually I first tried booking through the website and wanted connecting rooms but according to the website there were none available. Our TA was able to find two connecting rooms.

While I like the ability to see all the details online I just wanted to let you know that sometimes the TA have more tools at their disposal. At least in our case it was a key advantage. And, I'm the type that books everything myself usually.

And, I'm not sure about this, but don't some TA offer more onboard credits than Disney Cruise direct?

I book while on the cruise to take advantage of onboard booking. I think they give a 10% discount for booking onboard

Online if I can, on the phone if I have to, I don't use a travel agent.

Onboard booking is actually my favorite, and then I move the onboard reservation to a cruise I really want. 10% off, half deposit and OBC for booking onboard. Was cool to end up with 10% off and half deposit for the Greece cruise, and I'll be platinum by then, so add platinum OBC.

We've taken 6 cruises taken, & 2 more scheduled, we've always booked with DCL via the phone. We have also booked 2 cruises while while on board. We like the idea of always being in control of our reservation, for on line bookings, changes etc. I feel we have always gotten excellent & prompt answers when talking to the folks at DCL.

We re-book while onboard and name our DU agent, Kelsie Johnson. When we get back she emails our info/copy of our confirmation. If I need to make any changes I email her. Easy and the service and OBC are great. If she has any question/problems with our ressie she calls me.

We usually book on board and have them link it to our travel agent. The one excetion is when specialty cruises are announced and we are not onboard. We have our travel agent book those, because the wait times are usually pretty long with DCL.

Last time I switched an on-board DCL reservation to Costco, Costco told me that DCL no longer permitted Costco to offer Costco cash cards for taking over a reservation so I didn't get a cash card.
