Puh-leeze call Dana at MICDAN.COM -- 1-800-385-8233. Tell her Stuart and the rest of the DIS gang referred you. She's wonderful and is ALWAYS the lowest price I can find.

Just got off the phone with Dana, she was SO helpful and she confirmed that I did get a good deal from my TA. Dana could have saved me about $300 total, but I didn't think it was worth it to cancel my reservation and switch.

Thanks though. You were right, Dana was wonderful and the price was a bit lower.

we work and wait for the fla resident rates to come out :cool1:

We're wanting to go in Sept & thanks to this thread I think we'll book 2 staterooms for our family of 5! I see for the resident rates currently posted that they only go up to a group of 4 for the 3 day. Does anyone know if it'll be more cost effective to book 2 FRR rate rooms this way or will standard rates be equivalent?

We did our first cruise (3 night) and trip to Disney 4 yrs ago and it was the most wonderful vacation ever. We said we were "going to do it right since it would never happen again". Well, one long weekend (2 yrs ago for my son's birthday) to get just a little taste of Disney, has now turned into another cruise this year (4yrs after original one).

We booked directly with Disney as soon as the rates came out for July. We included airfare and transfers. Then in January of this year, we switched to Dreams Unlimited to get the rebate (and great service). That took $150 off the price. Just last week, we booked our own airfare and cancelled the Disney air but kept the transfers. That saved us over $450.

The key to us was booking far in advance and then making a "bill" to ourselves for the remaining. Putting some in savings each week and now in an ING account. We also used our Disney Visa for the 6 months 0% for the deposit. The final payment will be on the Diney Visa (which will give us an extra 5 months @ 0% to pay off the trip and some extra Disney Reward dollars to spend on the trip)

My son, who will be 12, got Disney dollars in his stocking, from relatives, will be getting them instead of candy in an Easter Basket, ect. so he will have spending $ for himself.

We also only take a big vacation every other year. Now that my son is turning 12, this will probably be our last Disney one for some time.

we have 2 adults and a 5yr booked during feb break 2006 it was $4900 for a cat 11 inside stateroom but Disney quotes the airfare at $400 a piece, if you find cheaper airfare (we booked the cruise in November of 2004) you can save a good amount of money, we cant book our own air yet, but looks like it will save us about $600 dropping it from the package and booking our own air.
