How do Wristbands for EMH Work?

I know you need to get your wristbands at Guest Services no sooner than two hours before closing. What I would like to know is: Does everyone from your group have to be there to get the wristbands? For example, if we're split up, can just one person from my party get wristbands for all of us? If one person can get all the wristbands, do they need to have our tickets too? Thanks :)

When we were there last week, there were several stations handing out wristbands- we got ours near the bridge to Tomorrowland. The CMs had to see each person with their room key card, then they would put the wristband on them. They weren't handing them out to one member for a whole group- everyone had to get in line.

Each person would have to get their own wristband. And they will need to have a kttw card to prove they are on property.

However they can get one after "closing" at the front of the park, after all the other locations are closed.

I have a question about the extra magic hour too actually.....are the parks really cleared out at that time or is it still crazy to get on rides? I am hoping not to have to wait in lines too long when we go...november 10 - 18

How do they do it for the early mornings? We will be staying at the Boardwalk and wanting to do an early morning at EPCOT

TiggerPiglet: The CMs have to attach the wristband to each qualifying Guest, so no, one person from your party can NOT get wristbands for the entire group. On the other hand, wristbands are distributed from about two hours before the EMH park closes to the general public until well into EMH night. So if your issue is that not all members of your party will be in the park before it closes, no problem.

izzys4: The parks aren't cleared out, but any Guest not wearing a wristband is NOT permitted to access any of the open attractions. They may or may not be permitted to stay in the park to shop or dine, but NO RIDES. Eventually, they clear themselves out.

DianeV: No wristbands in the morning. It's assumed that only (or primarily) Disney Resort Guests will be able to access the EMH park in the morning, mainly by using Disney transportation. What YOU will do is walk or - if it's running early enough - take the boat over to Epcot's International Gateway, enter the park, make your way as quickly as possible through World Showcase and start enjoying the open Future World attractions!

EPCOT late EMH weren't too impressive because there aren't as many rides open. MK EMH was great when we were there in June. We got on all three of the mountains with about a 10 minute wait at the most. But essentially everything stays open late at MK, so it's a little better.

Which epcot rides are open on an EMH? soarin?

We were there last month and the CMs were using a hand-held scanner and ran the guests ID cards to make sure they were still active before putting the wristband on. This is a new device, since we were there in July and they did seem to be using it. We stayed for EMH at MK and EPCOT and both times they used the scanner. This tells the CM if the card has already been scanned preventing folks from handing their card to a non-resort guest and getting another band for that night. (Sort of like the scanners they use at US for resort guest front of the line access.)

I found only the MK park is worth the effort. The other parks do not have enough rides open to split the guests up enough.

Now maybe this will be diffrent in the off season. but during peak times we ended up waiting 1 1/2 hours for the great movie ride at MGM. Give me a break.

For Epcot evening EMH, what food places are open? Is anything open in WS? Are Fountainview Bakery or Electric Umbrella open?
