HELP!
We havent had hoppers much before. This year we got em.:yay::yay:
How do we hop just from park to park for the ones that the monorail doesnt go to? Like from Hollywood studios to Magic Kingdom? Is there a bus outside of Hollywood studios that will take us direct to Magic kingdom, or will we first have to take it to Downtown Disney and then transfer onto a Magic Kingdom bound bus?:confused3

Here's the scoop..
If you are at MK, you need to get over to the TTC in order to get a bus to another park. YOu do this by monorail or by boat. Once you get there, you can take the monorail to Epcot, or a bus to DHS or AK. There are no buses from any park to DTD..you have to be at a resort in order to get to DTD.
If you are at Epcot, you can get a bus to DHS (or you can take a boat from the back entrance at World Showcase), and to AK. You take the monorail to MK and the TTC.
At DHS? Buses to TTC (so you can get to MK via the monorail or boat), to Epcot or to AK.
At AK? Buses to all the other parks.

Now....to add to your confusion..if you are at the MK, you may walk to the Contemporary, via the sidewalk (about an 8 min walk) that runs underneath the monorail line. There you can get a bus to DHS or AK or DTD. You would still have to monorail to Epcot.
You could take the monorail or boat to the Polynesian or GF and then hop on the park bus you need.

Oh my goodness~
I NOW remember WHY we didn't do hoppers. Oh Dear
I am worn out already~

Not sure where you are staying (i.e. hotel) but I have a suggestion. We also have park hoppers but we rarely hop from park to park directly. We usually go back to our hotel for a rest or a swim before "hopping" to another park.

Are you staying on-site? If so you make want to think of doing what we do. Perhaps go to the first park early in the morning for rope drop and return to your hotel when it gets hot and the lines get long. Then move on to another park in the late afternoon or evening.

While going to MK from MGM I have taken the Contemp bus and just walked to MK, as noted it is a very short walk. The MK bus had just left and the Contemp was just arriving.

And between Epcot and MGM I find it is always quicker to walk. And more relaxing.

Not sure why.

Let's leave the Magic Kingdom out of it for now.

In either direction:
Between Epcot and DHS: Bus (front entrance) or boat (back entrance)
Between Epcot and AK: Bus
Between DHS and AK: Bus

Simple, right?

Now let's do the Magic Kingdom.

Step one (required): between MK and TTC - monorail or ferry
Step two, in either direction:
Between TTC and Epcot: monorail
Between TTC and DHS: bus
Between TTC and AK: bus

Good thread on the topic - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2086955&highlight=park

Why they haven't made that a sticky yet I don't know. :)
Because there is no need to. This board isn't so overwhelmingly busy that people can't post their question and have it get lost within 3 hrs.
Besides, this is one of those topics that things can change for a lot of various situations.

Absolutely right. I've taken the bus from DHS to the CR and walked to the MK as well.
And I love the walk from Epcot to DHS..it is so peaceful...unless it's raining or hot and humid!!! My friend and I were not in time to get on the boat at the International Gateway, to DHS. They had just closed the doors as we were walking up. They told us another boat would be there in 15 mins or so. We yelled back that we would see them in DHS...most likely be there before them to boot. They laughed at us, and pulled out. Well, they got to BW about 30 seconds before we did, then they headed over to the YC, then to the S/D before continuing to DHS. We cut through BW, by the pool area, and headed down the sidewalk. We didn't see that boat again until we were headed for bag check...and the boat was just coming into view, before docking at the DHS dock. We beat them by about 8 miins!!! And we weren't running, just a nice pace that is normal for us.

The one I linked to isn't really a question, it's an informational post... It's 5 pages back now where people won't see it and it's got about 16 pages of bumps on it to attempt to keep it up front. Keeping it up front or putting together another one with options from getting from park to park and also maybe common ways to get from resort to resort would probably be very useful and cut down a number of repeat questions.

I agree there's always going to be situations where the normal methods won't work but it's a good place to start.

It isn't just informational. I have been asked to make this a sticky before. The other moderators and I don't feel the need. If you would like to bump it up each day, fine. Most people do not read stickies, and the ones that do, tend to go off topic.
Repeat questions are never an issue. If someone sees a repeat question, they don't need to open it and reply to it. I have no problem answering the same question over and over. For instance....I must see at least one new thread, every other day, that asks how long it will take to get to the resort from MCO using DME. There are stickies that address that. Obviously people want to have their question answered in their own thread.

Ain't that the truth! :rotfl2:!
Hey, if I add "Read the sticky threads! Read the sticky threads! Read the sticky threads!" to my signature, do you think anyone would pay attention?
