How do we get to MK early?

On our last trip in Jan, the first boat to MK came at 8:30. So after going through security and the turnstyles, we got there just before the opening show.

In June, we were hoping to get to rope drop about 30 minutes early due to the much larger crowds.

Any chance the first boat is scheduled earlier?

What about AM EMH days?

Take the boat (different one, same location) to the Contemporary Resort and then walk to MK. Or take the Monorail to MK. We had to do this last week to get to the TTC. It was easy and stress free. It was running an hour before opening. Someone can correct me but I think it even starts 1.5 hours before MK opening.

Sounds like a plan. Thank you. One more question: Is it any faster to get to EPCOT by taking the boat to a monrail resort and then riding the monorail to EPCOT or is a bus faster?

It has been my experience that the monorail is longer. But it is more fun then the bus:banana::banana::banana:! If time is important, then you might drive. (if you have a car).

No car. I thought the Monorail was more fun too so I was just looking for an excuse to ride it.

The kids love it when they get to ride up front with the monorail pilot. Last time, my two year old (at that time) was so excited. Then you have the reason to buy the monorail pilot pin. :goodvibes

The monorail takes considerably longer, but it is one of the best rides at WDW... arriving via the loop through FutureWorld, priceless. But yeah, however you slice it, between the boat, the walk to the monorail, the switch from one monorail to the other, and the last ride, it takes a while. I'd allot about 50-60 minutes.

:santa:

The boat to the Contemporary starts at 6:45 am. The only downside is it is not accessible.

If you need early accessible transportation to the Magic Kingdom, then bus to Wilderness Lodge, then bus to MK.

I believe the bus to Wilderness Lodge also starts at 6:45 am.

We ran into a similar problem our last trip. We could not get on the first boat to MK, the second was almost an hour later and we arrived at Cindy's pretty late for our breakfast reses

The next time we will drive to the MK parking lot and take either the mono or the boat.
