Hi on our arrival night we have a reservation for CM. We will be checking in at Port Orleans FQ. What is the best way to get to CM? Thanks!

From POFQ take a bus to Magic KIngdom and walk over to the Contemporary. I know from reading here there is a walkway, that will get to to Contemporay from the bus drop off in about 5 min. I'm sure someone will come in with details. If you aren't visiting the parks that day, then after dinner you could take a bus from Contemporary to DTD or PI and then take the boat back to POFQ when you are done having fun!

When you get off the bus, head toward the MK. When you get past the bus stops, go toward your right, the walkway to the Contemporary is basically right under the monorail tracks. Follow it, it will take you to an intersection which you cross and end up in the Contemporary parking lot.
You could also take the resort monorail from the MK station, but it would probably take a little longer. At any rate, leave youself about 45 minutes for the trip.

Thank you both!

I think we would like to take the monorail as this is a favorite perk for my kids. I wasn't sure if I could do that if we did not enter the park.

So if I have you correctly, we should leave POFQ on the MK bus. Once we get dropped off we can A) head to the monorail station and get off at the contemporary. or B) walk over to the contemporary hotel.

If we take the monorail, how do I get there from the bus drop off. Is that a long walk or were you just saying that we will be waiting for the monorail?

Thanks!

You have to basically walk past the monorail ramps to get to the entrance of MK, so as you exit the bus you can walk the normal path towards MK but instead of turning right (as you would to go through security before the MK turnstiles), you would pretty much be going straight and up the ramp to the resort monorail. This would only be about 2-3 minute walk after exiting the bus.

Not a long walk at all. The Monorail entrance is near the MK entrance, so follow the crowd toward MK. You will see the ramp going up for the monorail. You might even get a chance to sit in the Front car if you ask the CMs at the monarail station.

Just to let you know, the Contemporary is the first stop after exiting the MK so not much of a ride to enjoy. Of course, when you leave the Contemporary, you will get to do the whole loop to get back to the MK or you could get off at the Ticket & Transportation center and hop a bus back to POFQ.

The ONLY resort busses at the TTC are for WL and FW.

If MK is closed by the time you are done at CM, you need to either go to a park that is still open and take theresort bus from there, or go to DTD and then take the resort bus from there.

Have to correct you on this one - no resort transportation from the TTC any longer. But if MK has been closed for less than an hour, buses to the resorts will still be running. (You may be able to catch a bus after this, but it may be a little dicey.)

Actually, there still is a WL/FW bus at the TTC. The proposed test route never ended up taking place. It might eventually... but not just yet.
