Since you cant use the codes anymore, i feel its safe to ask now. How do they verify that you actually have a disney visa? I called and had the code added to the room. They didnt ask for the card number or any other information. The card is actually in DH's name, and not in mine. We never made a payment on our vacation with that card either.

Do you think i should make some sort of payment on the trip with the DV, so they wont pull our discount?

I understood that you had to pay at least your deposit using the card.

We booked the trip months ago, and paid the deposit back then (and paid off about half the trip so far). I called and had the code added to the existing trip.

If they put the discount on you're fine. They should have verified the card, but probably assumed that you paid the deposit with a Disney Visa if they saw it was paid with a Visa card.

As long as you actually have one, you should be fine. They won't remove the discount. If you don't have a Disney Visa and just used the code, I'd definitely change it in case they do ask to verify.

I think I will make a small payment with the DV, just in case. We have been using the Southwest Mileage card!

Thank You!

We made a $30 deposit with ours and the rest on another card and we were allowed to use the discount.

Hoping they're able to verify it some other way. The majority of my trip is paid off already and I didn't use my disney visa for any of it, nor was I asked to put anything down on it when I used the code. Fingers are crossed it's verified some other way (my reservation shows up saying that I used the visa code and everything is there the way it should be) but as long as the gp offer is the same when released I may just switch over just to be safe.

I'm actually surprised they didn't charge a deposit to your Disney Visa card. Every time I've ever taken advantage of a Disney Visa card offer, I've always had to make a deposit with that card in order to get the promo, even if I already had an existing reservation and used that card previously for the deposit, they always made me make another deposit if I wanted to switch to that promo and I've had my card since 2005. And the deposit was always $200.
