hi. good plan. i would change mama melrose and chefs of france.. we didnt like the food much and the atmosphere is more adult. Keep Ohana, it IS wonderful!!! I fill up on the sticky wings and noodles not so much the skewered meat. If you want those locations, i would suggest Sci-Fi.. they have a steak.. and great kid atmosphere.. and for Epcot i'd pick Tutto if you want a fancy delicious oustanding place.. or the Garden Grill for the kids. You'll have a great time either way :)

Looks good to me, we really enjoyed the steak at Le Celliar in Epcot. Also, really enjoy the Kona Cafe in the Poly, always a must do for us. Never done the Ohana, have done the Backyard BBQ, 3 times, each time thorougly enjoyed it and will probably do it again. This year we are trying the HDDR. I think you will enjoy each meal.

All are good choices. If I had to recommend I would definitely hit all of those except CF and MM. We have never been impressed with Mama Melrose. I would rather hit the Boardwalk or EPCOT over here any time. France is justto adult feeling to keep children entertained. But CP is fabulous, Ohana's is fun with activities and Coral Reef, ask for a seat by the windows and the kids will ove watching the fish and possibly divers.

The atmosphere of Mexico is great, the food at the Wave is excellent and convenient and Whispering Canyon is a fun place.

Well...the great thing about the DIS boards is that everyone has a different opinion. :lmao:

Here is mine...
CM- Unless you are going here only to see the "Fab 5" for your kiddos, I would skip it. I have heard breakfast is a little bit better, but dinner was mediocre at best. There are some other yummier buffets that have some of the major characters as well (i.e. Cape May Cafe breakfast, Tusker House breakfast).

Ohana- I was really looking forward to this one and we (especially DH) were super disappointed. The meat was terribly overcooked and dry. The sides, bread, and dessert were great though. I liked the atmosphere, but the breakfast at Ohana was better.

50s PT- We loved this! The food was great and the atmosphere was so fun. Definitely do this one. It is Disney theming at its best.

Coral Reef- We didn't have the steak, but we love it here. The fish tank is awesome and your kids will love it. The decor/atmosphere was cool, dark, and wonderful after a day of Florida heat.

Chefs d France- We enjoyed our dinner here, but it is not a "must do" for us. Unless there is something on the menu that particularly stands out for you, I might go with something different...Epcot and the Epcot resorts have so many options.

I haven't been to the others on your list (or it's been so long ago that I don't feel my opinion is still valid).

Dining at D-World is one of the highlights of our trip and we have never had a horrible experience anywhere. Since everyone has different opinions and experiences, here is what I would do...Look at the menus and figure out which park(s) you will visit each day. Then, just see what fits best into your plan and what foods suit your fancy. Whatever you decide, I hope you have a fantastic trip!

We have two girls (6 & 2). We are frequent visitors to Disney. We went this past November and ate at the following restaurants:

Tusker House (dinner) food was mediocre
Chef Mickeys (dinner) food was pretty good
Le Cellier (dinner) food was absolutely fabulous
Akershus (dinner) food was very good (used to be horrible until a menu change)
Whispering Canyon (dinner) food was awesome
Crystal Palace (dinner) food was mediocre
Planet Hollywood (dinner) food was very good

Asking for advice regarding food on these forums is a challenge. So many people are different from you and lets face it, restaurants have bad nights even at Disney.

I say go with your gut. You may go to some of the restaurants we like and hate them and vice versa.

Where else can you go and spend 5K and need a vacation when you get back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some I love, some are OK other I will not return to.

I think Chef Mickey's is good for a buffet (I prefer it over Crystal Palace) and you can't beat the character involvement, dancing, photos, etc. We really, really love Ohana. Great meat and pork...marinated and super yummy! We go every time and never disappointed! Enjoy. :)

I would have to say that I haven't found a Disney dinner buffet yet that I have enjoyed. I really prefer to go for breakfast. We really enjoy CP and Tusker for breakfast. Tusker before park opening is a must for us. We tried CM for dinner last year and although it is fun with the characters the food is not very good at all.

We love to go to Tepan Edo as we do not have tepanyaki anywhere near where we live.

We really enjoyed the food at Ohanas last time we went and my DD then 6 had so much fun getting up and dancing. You can easily fill up without eating any of the meat!

Haven't tried 50s PT as we always seem to go to Sci Fi. The comfort food of 50s PT doesn't really appeal to me and the Burgers at Sci Fi are really good! There really aren't good choices at HS, so..........

Haven't tried the others yet. Hoping to do DxDP next time, so will be trying quite a few more.

Oh my DD at 6 love WCC. Can't remember what she was doing, but a CM came over and stuck Mickey stickers all over her face and she thought that was so funny. Then when the waitress through a handful of straws at her she just loved it. She didn't really eat much here, but she loved the antics!!! We will return some time.
