2 more people. We have 6 people booked at 1900 Park Fare, but we need 8. Do they usually turn you away? I am going to keep trying, but didn't know what would happen if we had 8 instead of 6. I have been trying for the restaurant for about 1 month now to get something for dinner.

It depends.Usually they will ok it but make you wait longer till they can accomodate you.If it is during the free dining period, you may be told "no can do".Free dining causes back ups and longer waits to begin with, so if everyone wanted to add to their party it would be bedlam. It may be ok, it may not.You will not know for sure till you arrive. It is completely and totally up to the discretion of the Cm at the podium and the mgr when you check in.

You will need to call back and change your ADR. Most of the time they will put the extra 2 at either end of a long table meant for 6 but there is not always that kind of room. I wouldn't take the chance I would keep trying for different nights or different times until you get 8. It will be difficult for them to accomodate you immediatly unless you get super lucky. You never know

Ditto to what RMulieri posted. It might work, it might not, and there's no real way of knowing until you get there. Keep trying to change it, hopefully something will open up for you. Also, you might try making a separate ADR for the other 2 people at or very near the same time. Show up 15-20 minutes early, and ask if there's any way possible to be seated together. On our last trip, we did 3 out of 5 ADR's this way, and were always seated together. That's not to say it would be a definite, especially if it's during free dining, but it might work. And even if it doesn't, at least you're all eating at the same restaurant at the same time, and not having to worry about possibly having 2 people turned away. :)

I called and asked to add 2 more people to ourparty of 5 at CP and was told they did not have the room to do so as they can tell we are already seated at a table that seats 5 or 6. I can't remember exactly what size table they said.

I'm in the same boat. On Sept 12th, I need to add 3 to our party of 4 for a total of 7 people. I have been calling and calling and no luck! I went ahead and made an adr at the GF Cafe for the party of 3 just in case we can't get them in with us. Leave it to my sister-in-law to wait until the last minute to decide to go to WDW with us! And then she just tells me to add them on to our reservations. She has no clue how it works. At first she even questioned me on making reservations ahead of time. Argh!

It depends, are you ok with showing up with 8 and being turned away? That is worst case scenario.

If that happens are the extra 2 willing to leave and fend for themselves? I would keep trying, also, have you tried making a ressie for a party of 2? Or 2 ressies for party of 4? Disney dining reservations won't always suggest that but it may help!

Good luck:thumbsup2
