How do the recruiters assign cast members?

You find my stories interesting? haha I'm pretty sure they just sound like ranting complaints.

Yeah, if I had full service I wouldn't mind at all. I think CP full service is untipped because you can only have the role as a hostess, but I would still much prefer that. I heard that with the CP, you can only change roles if it is for a medical reason, otherwise you're stuck. I'm coming to terms with it though and still looking really forward to starting the program.

I don't feel bad kind of complaining about QSFB because I've yet to hear anyone say "Oh, I WISH I could get QSFB!"

Plenty of people say "I wish I got QSFB!" Because plenty of people DIDN'T get in the program. People would definitely love to have QSFB, just like people love attractions, and people love Merch.

That's what I'm saying, I appreciate my role because I'm glad I got in. But I've still yet to hear someone as having it as their first choice. As a matter of fact, the only things I've read about it is can I change my role or if asked if I should consider it, is it okay to politely decline? That seems to be the general consensus, so that's what I meant.

Yeah even if you don't like QSFB its not like you're a year contract like CRP :)
I don't know I think the benefits disney provides combined with the fact you're at disney makes up for even not your fav role :)

If i end up getting merch (my last choice) you and I can commiserate then see the bright side together :) Im weird I'd rather do QSFB than Merchandise:)

Woohoo! I'm all for seeing the bright side of things! Which I'm sure I will once I start my role and get down there!

Well, if it makes you feel better, I know some of the summer alumni people applied for QSFB because that's what they did before and they loved it and wanted to do it again!

It's a bit reassuring then. For me, I'm sure it will depend a lot on location. There's some QSFB locations I totally wouldn't mind working at and some I would. That's why I won't be disappointed right now because it's really all still a mystery as there is no knowledge on what my location is yet.

Maybe you should do a little research and see how people liked different locations in the past and request a specific location! Of course, there's no guarantee that you'll get what you request, but I know a lot of people that have requested certain places and then actually got it. If you can decide on a place (or a couple of places) that you really think you would enjoy, then it might be worth a shot!

Suprisingly I kind of didn't really want Attractions ( I know everyone seems to want this role) I mean I'm excited to do it, but it never gave me stars in the eyes with the exception of a few key attractions.

But I know EXACTLY why I got this role. My interviewer asked me about memorization, and I told him that just a few weeks ago I finished acting in a play where i memorized about 30-40 pages of text.

No other role requires memorization like that. That's how I got it.

I kind of wanted BBB or Character Attendant more but I'm still super grateful and happy. There's always a next time.

BBB is SUPER hard to get! From my understanding they only give out so many spots to CP's and its extremely popular (the "coveted" role as I've been hearing it referred to as). So many girls want it. It is very demanding and it can be very trying on the patience and nerves (hair+brushing+small fidgety "princess"= partial frustration [depending on the amount of experience you have]).

I know, lol. I still tried for it though, on the bright side I can always try again, I have about 10 younger cousins from newborn to 12 and only one is a boy. I've done my share of fidgety child hair-care lol.

Honestly though I only wanted the job for the glitter wand....

I didn't think about requesting a specific location because I feel like they just find that annoying since they can't guarantee it at all. I called and when I said I didn't want to be in a kitchen, she suggested I make a request to do ODF, which I did. But now I'm secondguessing it, because I feel like that limits me to only outdoor places, when there's a chance I could have gotten a place I wanted. I just wanted a place that was specific to one thing. Like Auntie Gravity's ice cream in Tomorrowland or Aloha Isle for example. Then I probably would have loved my role. LOL.

My CP roommate worked QSFB at Sunset Ranch in Hollywood Studios. I donno if all QSFB locations are like that one but she could work at any of the food places in that area. So the fish place, the ice cream place, the turkey leg thing, and the other 2. lol. There were 5 counter areas she could work at. I'm not sure but I think it was just one counter location per day but I'm not positive b/c I know they used the computer system that bumps you. She liked the location. She didn't love QSFB but I never heard her complain and I know she liked the people she worked with.
