Dear Pin Masters of the Disney Universe...

I'm going to be a new pin trader at WDW in late January if we can sell the condo by then. I have heard of pin nights at different resorts.

How do they work?

Is it only to trade with individuals or are there other ways?

I was talking to someone who said on their cruise there was a book with pins that you could trade in that you had to replace the pin you took with one of your own as long as that pin was not already on the page...???Does this make any sense to anyone?

Where exactle are they? I know there is one at the contemporary but where? That is a big place!

How early do you recommend to get there? Do you line up? Are there usually a lot of people there?

I won't have much to trade, I only have Disney Store Pins...Will it be worth it to me to go check it out?

Thanks for any help,

:D

The Pin Trading nights are scheduled as follows --

Thursdays -- All Star Sports Resort food court
Friday -- Contemporary Resort 4th floor by the pin station
Saturdays -- Polynesian Resort lobby
Sundays -- Boardwalk Resort outside by the stairs from the lobby

The Boardwalk meet starts at 8:00 PM, the others at 7:00 PM. The Poly meet is NOT a Disney-sponsored meet, but the others are.

It's mostly for trading with other traders. Disney does set up a kids trading board, but otherwise it's mostly non-CM trading.

I would go. Even if you don't do any trading, you can meet some great people and make some friends. And don't worry about Ed ... he's mostly harmless. ;)

This sounds like what they have set up at most of the pin carts. They have pin books with traders to supplement the CM lanyards, and guests can trade for pins in the book, but only if that pin is not already on the page.
