Be honest... I can take it!!! A few of these are new to us, but some are favorites. Oh, this will be for me and my son, Max - he is 6.

Saturday 9/13/08
No ADRs since we get in pretty late... we'll probably do Cosmic Ray's if we decide to hit MK that night or I'll make an ADR for Boma (one of our favorites anyway).

Sunday 9/14/08
Breakfast: Chef Mickey's
Late Lunch: Tony's Town Square

Monday 9/15/08
Lunch: Yak & Yeti (haven't been - might end up doing counter service at Yak & Yeti instead of table service)
Dinner: Flame Tree (haven't been)

Tuesday 9/16/18
Lunch: Sunshine Seasons
Dinner: Cinderella's Gala Feast at 1900 Park Fare (haven't been since character change)

Wednesday 9/17/08
Lunch: Backlot Express
Dinner: The Hollywood Brown Derby

Thursday 9/18/08
Breakfast: Main Street Bake Shop
Lunch: Columbia Harbour House
Dinner: 'Ohana

Friday 9/19/08
Breakfast: The Mara
Lunch: Yakitori House (not my fave at all, but trying again)
Dinner: Akershus (never been)

Saturday 9/20/08
Lunch: Pizzafari
Dinner: Jiko (never been)

Sunday 9/21/08

This will be the first time going without the dining plan. We have LOVED the dining plan, but I don't think it is worth it the way it is now. I certainly don't need to order an appetizer and dessert with all of my meals - if the dining plan included the appetizer instead of dessert I would consider purchasing it, but I don't even really like dessert that much and since I'd have to pay for tips anyway the cost just isn't really worth it to me. On the other hand, if the free dining is offered again this year, I might change my reservation to a split stay and do half of the trip with the deluxe dining plan and the other half with no dining plan at all, in that case I will probably change around my dining plans a bit.

Basic Dining Plan is $48 a day for you. Have you done the math to see what these ADRs will cost OOP vs Basic DP and some OOP? A quick glance tells me the Basic plus OOP is a good deal for you. Keep in mind you've planned w/o the DP, so n need to feel hampered by DP if that is a concern.

My 9 DP TS ADRs would be as follows:
Chef Mickey's
Tony's
1900 PF
'Ohana
Akherhus
Kona
Y&Y if TS or your First Night Meal
The 2TS where you'd likely order dessert or wouldn't order an appetizer

I'd pay OOP for
The other 2 2TS meals and Breakfast at Boma

All of your CS meals would be covered by the Basic Plan:
Pizzafari
Mara
Yakitori
Columbia Harbor House
Main Street Bakery
Backlot Express
Sunshine Seasons
Flame Tree
& either your First night meal or Y&Y if you decide CS not TS that day

If you can get 9 TS/CS combinations to equal $45 or more the Base plan would still make financial sense for you. Keep in mind when you pay the DP fee you also pre pay the tax on all those meals, a 6.5% savings. You've been there done that, just suggesting you consider the numbers to get yourself the best deal.

Have a magical stay.

I looked at what we would actually eat and how much we would spend and it was very close to the same price as the dining plan... but I will eat like I actually want to eat this way, so the dining plan just isn't worth it the way it is now.
