:furious: Can anyone explain???

I just spent an hour searching, they are no where to be found...the very keys I used less than 3 hours ago.

You know what I need...a mini-GPS system on a keychain, that could be tracked (maybe on a website)...i.e., it's with the keys, I lose them, I go to the website and put in my code, it shows me where the keys are...is that too far advanced for us???

Just very frustrated right now.

when ya find them tell them to give me back my one sock

Several years ago when DS was at home, I lost my set of keys. I looked and looked and looked with no luck. After about a week later I had an entire set made. I received a call from DS saying that he found my keys at the bottom of his bed under the sheets. ARGH!

The Borrowers take them. And the lost ink pens, safety pins (they love them) and yes, odd socks (sleeping bags for Borrower sleep-overs!).

So your sock goes off with my sock as well. Ugh, how can 4 socks (two pairs) go into the wash, but only 3 come out? Am I supposed to hop that day?

Hmmmmm, maybe the same way a set of keys just magically shows up??

Just a few weeks ago we had about 20 or so people over for an end of summer bbq. The next morning, on the grass right where all the chairs were, we found a set of keys.

Now, I have spoken with EVERYONE who was there and noone will claim them. The keys have a distinctive key chain on them so it really should have been easy. But nooooo, they have mysteriously arrived and still sit in my kitchen.... :confused3

I'm wondering how long I need to hang on to them!!

Just get a new set made up and you'll find them right away! :thumbsup2 I lost my keys once when I *knew* I had thrown them in my tote bag. I took everything out 3 times and couldn't find them. The day after I made a new set I found the keys inside a pocket in a 3-ring binder that was in the tote bag. :sad2: You'll find them in a very strange place I'm sure!

A quick prayer to St. Anthony. I swear, works every single time :thumbsup2 .

I've always said I need a homing device on my keys. I feel your pain!

my ex-gf once completely lost her keys ... we came home to her place after work, watched tv, ate dinner, went to sleep, and in the morning the keys were NOWHERE.... we spent the next three hours turning the house upside-down. We got to the point where we became completely delusional -- there was nowhere the keys coould have gone!

I remember I actually looked in the refrigerator/freezer not once but *five or six times* ... just in case they could somehow be in there! We were starting to *seriously* entertain the ideas a) someone had broken into the house and stolen the keys or b) the keys had dropped into a gateway into another dimension. (By seriously I mean we sat down and had an extended, sober, discussion about these possibilities....... talk about delusional!)

Finally, we collapsed on the couch laughing because the situation was so ludicrous. We couldn't leave the house or go anywhere (including work -- we both worked at the same place) b/c she had her car and housekeys on the same ring (I lived really far away so we couldn't get to my place/car). We were literally trapped inside the house. We discussed the possibility that we would just have to stay in her house FOREVER.... We called in stupid to work and then called a friend to see if they could come and just take us to the store or something b/c we couldn't figure out what to do with ourselves and we had no food.

While we were waiting for the friend to get us, we decided to play scrabble, and lo and behold, the keys were sitting, perfectly centered, on the top of a stack of board games UNDERNEATH a table in the guest bedroom ... we hadn't played any games the night before or been anywhere near the table ... you figure it out!

I'm horrible with losing keys!!

The last car I had came with three sets of keys... 2 with the alarm button thingy, 1 plain valet key... it eventually came down to just the valet key. I found one other before I traded it in, and didn't find the last one until a few months ago!

So, now i have this new car... 2 sets of keys. Within the first 3 months I lost one and I still can't find it! I've had the car a year! I've looked everywhere for this key!

Maybe I'll find it one of these days... but the more I look, the more hopeless it seems.

Do you have a coat, purse, backpack, or wherever you keep the keys with a LINING?

I lost my keys once and looked high and low. I was at church and thought I had tossed them in the diaper bag. Someone even gave us a ride home. They just happened to have their grandchild's car seat and our neighbor had our house key. I had this huge chain of people helping me and we all assumed my toddler had "hidden" them somewhere and couldn't tell me where.

I found them several days later. A hole I didn't know about had developed in the lining of the bag and the keys had managed to slip right in it.

Ahh one of the great mysteries in life, where do the socks go?

My daughter "Recycled" a set a few years ago :rotfl2: . We found out after the recylce truck came and where looking for the keys. She said she "Put dem in der" and pointed at the recycle bin. :confused3 :lmao:

I had to break into the small Fire-proof safe that the keys where for. Took me about 3 minutes to get inside it. I then upgraded to a real safe with a combo lock. The small safe is now used as a toy for the kids. It now takes me about 15 seconds to get into it without a key.

Check the freezer. Seriously...one time my ex-BF's mother absent-mindedly put her keys and sunglasses in there.

DH loses his glasses constantly. He only needs them for distance (driving mostly) and takes them off and sets them places. Well, two weeks ago, he lost them completely. They still haven't turned up. DH has an appointment on Monday at the Optometrists, since his prescription was three years old.

I wish I could get one of those clapper things for glasses and t.v. remotes.

We found the cat in the fridge once :rotfl: . Cat was OK, but the ham was not :rotfl2: .

I lost my keys for 2 weeks a while ago! My family made me do penace by using this HUGE ugly key chain for a long time! Right now I can't find my mailbox key but after the other time I'm afraid to say anything, but I"m running out of exuces for not getting the mail.

Well, the drama is over. We have found the keys. :dance3:

They had slipped under the passengers seat in my DH's car. Sorry, there were no socks with them. :confused3
