remove someone as a friend from facebook? I've never had to do it before, lol

Go to Account in the upper right hand corner, select Edit Friends. Find the friend you don't want, click on the X near their name, done!

The tough thing is when the loony tracks you down through a comment you post on a common friend's wall and pesters you to add him back as a friend. Then he will demand to know why you de-friended him.

I had to de-friend someone and they bothered me about it once they found out.

You can also go to their profile page, scroll down and on the left will be a place that says "remove as friend" just click on it.

I would love to do that, unfortunately most of my friends and family live 2000 miles away from me. Plus this is a very convenient way to spy on/torture my teenage sisters.

If you don't want her to be able to see what you post to mutual friends, go to Account...Privacy Settings...Customize Settings...Things I Share...Posts by Me...Choose "Friends Only". Then she won't see any of your posts.

Of course this means that all of your posts will be only viewable by those on your Friends list, but if you only use it to keep in touch then that shouldn't be an issue.

I have everything set to either "Friends Only" or "Only Me" (for example, my email address is Only Me).
