I've got over $400 in reward dollars. Thanks to free dining, there's no way we'll spend that much out-of-pocket on our trip. So I'd like to use them to pay down the package total. I've used them once before and they sent a gift card type card. Does it have 16 digit number that I can use like a credit card over the phone? Help!

Once you have the actual rewards card in hand with the points loaded on it, you can call Disney or your TA and use it just like a credit card.

Keep track of what your point balance is. We've used small amounts toward our room charge bill and that comes in handy for TS tips charged to our room and the OOP items we get at restaurants.

Caveat: If you must cancel your trip those points will be put back on your card, BUT make sure that card has not expired or you'll lose those points. The cards usually have a 12/31/XXXX(fill in the year) expiration date on them. Once transferred to the card you have a year or a little more before they expire. For example, I got my latest card last October and the exp. date is 12/31/11 for those points now (all spent on the last trip though!).

If you have them on the actual reward card, you can go online and choose to pay balance, then partial pay, and then you have the option of a credit card, gift card, or rewards card.

I don't know how many people are in your party or which dining plan you have but depending on those things you might want to consider using the rewards for tips for dining. Depending on your party size and dining plan tips can add up. Thats what I plan on using mine for. I will have about $350 or so. Just an idea.

I think that's a great idea :). Thanks for it. I hadn't thought of that yet...sorry to hijack thread...

Thanks for the help! We're strictly quick-service diners, but thanks for the tips. We're good at finding really good meals at counter service places that don't take a chunk out of our day.
