OK, we probably won't be flying Southwest on our next trip. How do I make that little airplane at the bottom of my screen disappear? Can't find any instruction!

Thanks.

At the risk of sounding computer illiterate (I am)...how'd the little airplane get there, and what is it for?

The process to uninstall the DING! application from your computer is simple. The Windows Control Panel located on your computer should have an option to Add/Remove programs. Once you click on Add/Remove programs you will see a list of programs installed on your computer. DING! will be listed as one of those programs. Select DING! and then chose remove.

This will totally remove it from your computer so you will have to reinstall it later if you want to use it in the future.

Hope this helps!!

Thank you so much Tigger! It was easy to un-ding once you told me how!

MaryAnn-Ding is a "service" from Southwest airlines that "dings" several times a day with offers that only last a short time. When you install it a tiny airplane appears in your bottom toolbar that you can click on. If you have no intention of flying Southwest soon, the "dinging" can be annoying.

Ooooo...that sounds cool! If Southwest has a deal, I'll go somewhere! :teeth: Only problem is, I usually have the sound turned off. I'll have to think on this one.

Even if you turn the sound off, a little envelope will appear on the airplane tail icon. So even if you are not in front of your computer when the "Ding" goes off, you can look and see the envelope. Most of the offers have a four to five hour window to book.

all you need to do is go to your add and remove programs file which is found in your control panel and follow the directions there to remove ding!
