Hi!

I have reservations for Pop Century in May 2005. I have twin 16 year old girls and want to surprise them at Christmas! I am going to wrap up some Disney Dollars for spending money but I don't want to just say, Hey we are going to Disney! Does anyone have any fun suggestions on how I can tell them at Christmas?

I would put the disney dollars in their stocking, which would be the first hint. Then I would wrap their tickets (you can order then online & have them mailed to your house) with some other useful things on the trip ex. disposable camera, autograph book, disney t-shirt, bags to carry to the parks (my teenagers love to carry the nylon or fabric backpack bags you can get at old navy or Nike, they would never use a fannypack!)

I love it! I didn't even think about all the others stuff I could get them to give them hints. It's perfect! Thanks!

To help celebrate, I would buy some DIsney food , like cereal, fruit snacks, etc. Have a Disney meal! lol:tongue:

Don't forget the Disney Store offers t-shirts that can be personalized with about 15+ different pictures that you can put on them. They leave room to add "First Annual Disney World Vacation May 2005" for example too! (Be a great gift for DH too!)

We are surprising our 3 kids with a land and sea trip in February as their Christmas gift. I was thinking of a Disney sweatshirt, camera(disposable ofcourse), Disney dollars and I would love to find a place that sells the autograph books for the characters. Any suggestions? It's hard to keep the secret::MickeyMo

I can't find these on their site. Do you know exactly what they are called?

Thanks! I thought they were shirts you could upload your own pics onto and get printed on the shirts LOL. Oops!

Corgi Mom....sent you a "pm"....private message. Click on your "user cp" to read it!!

I did this last Xmas for my niece and nephew for a March Trip. I got one giant gift bag and filled it with travel stuff (sunscreen, travel toothbrushes, rain ponchos, etc) In the bottom of the bag I giftwrapped the planning CD from Disney.

you should do a scavenger hunt on Christmas morning and the final stop will be where the tickets are.

Hi,
Im taking three of my kids ages 16, 11, and 7 Dec 18-22. I plan on waiting until the 17th to let them know {want to avoid the when when when thing, plus i thought it would be quite exciting to wait} Im going to make a scroll message... like the ones they used when someone would read mail to the king..lol not sure what they're called. Im going to use high quality paper, print it out so its in very nice font, attache velvet and tassle with wood dowel. It will be addressed to them and i will have my 16 yr old read it to the other two. A message from Santa of course. :)
Im more excited about their excitment than actualy going.
Cant wait.

My parent's surpirsed us wuth a Disney Trip for Christmas once- They gave us a gift, and in it was a bunch of stuff to plan for a disney vacation and a note that told us we were going. We were 12 and 10 at the time, and we got to "help" plan the trip. It was great. Of course, we didn't really plan since we left only 15 days later....

You should still have time to order Guest of Honour badges personalized for the girls. I'd leave them with the tickets, it hints at not only going but hey, going VIP!::yes::

I just told my DD today that we are going too! Its a mother-daughter trip booked it for right after xmas, but it will be a big part of her xmas this year.

I took her to the Dinsey store at the mall and she was looking around, she found a stuffed winter minnie and was like "OH LOOK" ... so I said, "I could get it for xmas and hold it till then, ooooooooorrrrrrrr " pause .... " I could get it for you now, FOR A REMINDER OF WHEN I TOLD YOU .. WE ARE GOING TO DISNEY DEC 29 TH !!!!!" she LOVED that and was SHOCKED !!!

I didn't want to wait to tell her because I wanted her to plan the days with me AND just being excited for a whole month is fun!

But I was thinking .... I could start a business lol, how about Mickey calling your home to tell the family member, big or small .... " Hi this is Mickey ::MickeyMo , I heard you are coming to see me !!! Minnie ::MinnieMo can't wait to see you too !!!"... ect. How fun would THAT BE !!!!!!!!!! :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

I think I will order 2 t-shirt's mother~daughter Disney 2004 !!
hmmmmm

I did this last year for my three boys. I bought them each a little carry-on suitcase (about $25) and put a super-size bow on it. They were thrilled with the suitcase (we take overnight trips often) but they were even more surprised when it was filled with Disney/ US stuff! The expressions on their faces was unforgettable.

Good luck!

I would suggest using the disney dollars and a few other things then having one of the princesses call them. Here's the link to their web site:

https://secure.uvoxnetworks.com/disney/

It's called a Disney's Enchanted Call. You can choose a princess, time and date for them to call. Make sure you choose the Good Morning Theme and on the next page you will have the option to choose going on a trip from the drop down menu. It is the coolest thing! Have both girls listen at the same time to hear what is said. :chat: :chat:

They'll love it!princess:

Good Luck!

When we took our four DD's in 2002 we told them we were driving down to see relatives in GA. We drove all night (from NJ). When morning came I handed them each a pair of shorts and a t-shirt that I had made. I told them to put them on so we could get some breakfast. Well, when they unfolded the t-shirts WHAT A SURPRISE!!! I had written on them, SURPRISE we are going to Walt Disney World!! We have it on video, it's a moment that could never be captured again!! That was two and a half years ago and they still talk about how great it was!! :p

Honestly, I don't know HOW I kept that secret and managed to make the shirts without them knowing!! ;)
