How do I stop these annoying emails?

I just deleted 23 emails all about drugs (male-enhancing, etc). That was just in a 12 hour period. We used to get a couple occasionally but the past few days we have been inundated. I do have on our pop-up blocker.

Can anyone tell me how to stop these? I know enough not to open them or click on any links. I just delete them immediately.

Thanks for any help.

Do you have any kids that are on the internet and plugging in your email address on sites?

After my son has been on the internet, we're usually inundated for a couple days with spam emails....regardless of how many times I tell him he can NOT put our email in anywhere! :headache:

So, now Mom sits right next to him while he's on the internet. ;) He was closely monitored before (computer in public space of house, parental controls, etc) but somehow, he managed to slip some by me.

That is the first place I'd look. Good luck! I know how annoying they are!

I have Verizon for e-mail and since yesterday, I've been getting spammed like crazy. I haven't opened the e-mails so I don't know their subject matter but I can tell by the subject line (which is all messed up) that they aren't legit. It's awful. Since yesterday, I've probably deleted over 50 of them.

and I have no idea why either..no kids, so noone entering sites they shouldn't..have our pop up blockers on..have Norton Anti Spam running..and these are all coming into our main email boxes..I figure if I just keep deleting them, sooner or later they will stop...as with you, 99% of them are for male enhancing stuff, the others are an assortment of other 'not needed' emails!

We have Verizon as well. That's weird.

The only places my kids have been on the past few days are Webkinz, VMK, and Stardoll.:confused3
I did register at Nintendo.com but I doubt it would be coming through them.

sounds like Verizon is having an issue - didn't their cell users have problems with spam texts?

I use gmail which has probably the best spam filter of any free e-mail service I've ever used

I get tons on my gmail id, but none on my roadrunner id.

I get spam, but they are all routed right into my Spam folder, none end up in my inbox. My old yahoo and hotmail were awful for spam in my inbox.

i've been "unsubscribing" to most emails, and it's cut down the amount

I thought that if you click on their unsubscribe if just confirms to them a valid email address and it continues. I'm afraid to do it!
